  1. The group I was camped with were 'raided' on one of the nights by 3 security guards, said they were conducting a random search of tents for drugs and that if they handed stuff over they wouldn't call the police - they searched the tents and found nothing and my mate handed over some duff pills he had bought! Some quite rogue guards on site all weekend - another mate bought some stuff off of one on the Wednesday, he said he had confiscated it off of someone after a search at the entry gates!

  2. Why Does Glastonbury Hate Scousers?

of course it is a generalisation, and completely unfair and unfounded......and then I refer you our 'neighbours' in Bushy ground - who managed to fulfill every worse stereotype.. including several 'domestic' fights, screaming foul mouthed abuse and constant agressive abusive behaviour throughout the festival....horrible people who happened to have that accent....

    - unfair ? yes, but as an exercise in stereotype confirmation these people did an amazing job !

  3. I thought he was awsome..

I was almost out on my feet after 5 days of partying, but Nick's fantastic performance lifted me up ( literally - thought my feet hurt too much and too tired to stand) and topped the festival off perfectly.

second only to Neil Young over the whole festival (imho)

  4. its an old debate, but will I'm sure continue...

    as long as

    1. they get taken home again

    2. are not silly marquee sized

    3. pitched amoungst a group to give a communal area ( and pace to watch those crazy storms)

    .. I don't see a problem -

our group has shared one for the last few years - and met some bizarre and wonderful people who have stopped for a chat underneath it ( especially those lovely 'dancing cow' guys last year).

I accept it has connotations of middle class smugness and champagne swigging types taking over the festival- but not amoungst all that mud !!!
