  1. This is a massive long shot, but, I remember looking at some web traffic a few years ago that I thought was encrypted but it turned out the data was compressed and I was able to find the right algorithm to decompress it. I think these days there are online tools to compress/decompress data with gzip and the like. However, I think you are probably correct that in this scenario the data is encrypted in which case I don't see how anyone could decrypt it, including Seetickets. But, I'm no expert.

The above link contains a chart showing six years worth of data indicating the level of a river a few miles from Pilton. It appears the level gradually decreases from spring to end of summer, I guess, reflecting the level of the water table. There are spikes when significant amount of rain falls over a short period of time. You can zoom in on specific sections of the chart.

The conclusion I have drawn is 2016 wasn't really any different to any other year up until June 10th (12 days before the festival) where the level was 0.17m. Then there must have been torrential rain up until June 18th which brought the river level right up to .54m. Then more rain kept the level up and it didn't recover to normal levels for the time of year until mid-July.

We are still 16 days from the festival and the level is currently 0.2m. Nothing to worry about, but, I think if there was similar rainfall to 2016, leading up to the festival, then we'll probably end up with a similar amount of mud. i.e. less rain earlier on in the year makes no difference. However, the chart shows it is very rare for spikes of 2016 proportions during the late spring/summer so we have to be very unlucky for a repeat occurrence.

  3. Thanks for pointing that out eFestivals. West Holts it is then.
Just noticed, Protoje is due to be at Stonebridge Bar some time later on Friday (after Gully) and has a gig in Holland the next day.
Seems like a tough schedule even without the earlier Gully slot. Or maybe that's just me being old.

  4. Hello,
I'm confused. I would really like to see Protoje at Glastonbury this year. If I study the Line-up page he appears to be scheduled as follows:
    Gully      Friday 15:30 - 16:30
    West Holts Friday 17:30 - 18:30
    Gully      Friday 23:00 - 00:30

Is that possible or is it a mistake?
Seems a long way for him to get to West Holts from Gully in an hour with all his drumkits and stuff. And surely he needs a bit of time to tinker before he starts.

Anyway, if he's reading this, I'm willing to help carry if need be (as long as it's light).

    Thanks
