I still think Kendrick was a really good shout, especially how Rob announced that the line-up is gonna be very hip-hop friendly
-
Kasabian
Tame Impala / Kendrick Lamar
RATM
I know I may sound a little bit deluded with Tame/Kendrick, but I just thought that'd be a decent balance of genres that could headline R&L.

Just checked a few of my favourite bands off the Green Man festival line up.
King Gizzard, Suuns, Connan Mockasin, Battles and Dungen are all free for Leeds/Reading and are in the UK.
Possibilities?

Yeah but I made a point of not posting the song with a brief catchy riff that was on a bunch of adverts three years ago. The set would be mostly not-that-song. Give any album of theirs a go and you'd see what I mean.
Listen to their latest album and you'll see how they could make a set out if it.

Friday: CO
Saturday: LDP
Sunday: LAY
Thoughts?

?????????????????
I have no clue what you are trying to prove with this, the base would be drawing people in like ants to a hot mango.

They would be ridiculously out of place at R+L so I wouldn't count on it.
How so? They'd be perfect for an early slot on NME.

I have a strong feeling SUUNS will play Reading on the Friday and Leeds on the Saturday.
They do Green Man the week before, and are in Scotland on the R&L Sunday

Looking at the current line up I can't say I'm suprised that there is still a good amount of money left.
Let's hope they're saving it for the next announcement

Chances of SUUNS playing R&L are extremely high, going from Green Man Fest to Scotland whilst in the UK.
My guess is Reading on the Friday and Leeds on the Saturday.
Have a look at this.

Tame Impala,
The Strokes,
Radiohead.you heard it here first

How about Beck? He's surely in budget, and hasn't got any dates for over a month before bestival, he'd fit in surely 80's, 90's and 00's, 10's headliners ? Maybe I'm just overthinking

Anyone know when the last headliner is going to be announced?
-
I was genuinely really disappointed with the announcement today as I didn't know many of the acts that were announced..
On the contrary,
After going on the R&L playlist on Spotify I found a good 10 bands I was really interested in, all of which were added to the set list earlier.
If you're disappointed with it so far I seriously recommend doing that, make sure you go in with an open mind, there's a huge range of smaller acts that you can tell are just gonna boom this summer.

all i can say is at least they put crystal castles in the tent, imagine cc on main stage hahaha

Starting to wonder if he's gone and got Tame Impala back. Absent from UK festivals thus far with no real place to slot in anywhere else, and they're headlining Bestival Toronto alongside The Cure. Would be weird with them doing last year's but I guess stuff like that happens sometimes - might be too big next time they tour after all.
They're in south america for the friday and saturday which is a bummer.
would really love to see tame again

How about Radiohead for the final Sunday headliner with Kendrick on before hand?
I mean I know its a stab in the dark with a pretty puny knife but still... they have been very secretive about it.
