Would probably swap out Speed of Sound and In My Place for Something Just like this and Charlie Brown, since I feel like they havent played the first two in quite a while.
Also if I am not mistaken they will be releasing a new album (Moon Music?) this year still, so that might mix it up a bit -

Ah, I've only been twice! I think that relative novice status explains it for me.
With the benefit of hindsight, there's two - maybe three - I should have skipped. I shouldn't have bothered with Muse (2016) and Ed Sheeran (2017) because I saw both do practically the same - or superior versions of - show on those tours in the run-up. Should have done Underworld / Sigur Ros for the former, and Justice for the latter.
The only other one is Foo Fighters (2017), but that's questionable. I saw 'em at Milton Keynes Bowl on the Broken Leg run and felt they were average; some serious sound issues meant Everlong was butchered as the opener, and Iggy Pop blew 'em off-stage in support, even with a John Paul Jones and Roger Taylor cameo. The Glastonbury show was a definite improvement, but I still walked away feeling a little underwhelmed. Probably should have seen Phoenix.
Conversely, Adele, Coldplay (2016) and Radiohead (2017) were all the right choice for me. Probably have all three shows in my ten best festival gigs ever. Just worked for me on so many levels!
Thank you for listening 😅
Ha let me return the favor !
For me the one that springs to mind was Arcade Fire in 2014. I was not a big fan of the music to begin with and we were in a very crowded spot, so should have left to go see someone else. Same for Kasabian probably that year, allthough that was my first Glastonbury so wanted to catch a bit of the magic of the pyramidOther two that spring to mind are Kanye and Radiohead, but I remember distinctly that we also werent to bothered about the other headliners at that time, otherwise we would have already skipped them.

You've seen every Pyramid headliner whenever you've gone?? Wow!
Honestly you won't be missing out if you skip them. I don't have any hatred of the Pyramid stage especially but at headliner magic is happening all over the site.
Fully agree with this one! Saw all pyramid headliners over the first couple years we went, but skipped some the last two festivals (Billie Eilish -> Foals, Kendrick -> Pet Shop Boys, AM -> Freya Ridings) and had a grand time at all of them!
And there is quite a few headliners that in hindsight I would have been better of with skipping them 😅

Back to the mixing desk, about the width of the stage, and not very dense.
Swelled a bit as some folks (sensibly) decided to escape Elton.
Which other "great bands"?
Haha fair point, to each their own I guess 😉

Unless of course you don't like his music.
I was at Rudimental.
How bbig was the crowd for them? I read a lot about Alt-J, QOTSA and Phoenix, but did not hear anything about Rudimental!
Figured since they are popping up at Glastonbury quite often, they would have a very hard time against those other great bands, but could be wrong! -
These top 3's are always insanely difficult to make, but here goes nothing:
1. Foo Fighters: The Foos in an afternoon slot with an hour full of bangers, what's not to love?
2. Freya Ridings: Incredible voice and atmosphere!
3. Elton John: We got a pretty bad spot in terms of sound (I think we were in the part of the field that is normally camping ground), but the overall atmosphere of being there with that many people, listening to all these great songs, felt like a once in a lifetime experience! -

Has anyone who is staying in worthy view not received their car parking pass? Ours was dispatched last week and still nothing. See tickets saying if it is lost for us to buy on the day and return the car parking stick (as in, the used car parking sticker lol) Which sounds quite dodgy and I can't see them actually accepting that.
Just received mine today actually, actual tickets stiill nowhere to be seen tho (although already handled by see tickets with box office collection)

We gave up hope for them arriving in time as well, so have emailed seetickets (via de contact form in the order page) and received answer from them within the hour, so thats good! My guess is that this happened quite a lot this year 🙂
Hopefully everything will go over smoothly!- 1

Did you need to explain the situation to the stewards?
Yes sort off but it was not a big deal (at least it went over quite smoothly)

If you end up with Box Office collection for tickets, is there any ablity to drive close to the Gate A portakabin, pick up tickets, then drive off and into a car park?
Supposed to be staying (and parking) in Sticklinch, so very much trying to avoid a long walk around the roads at the edge of the site.
We actually kinda did this last year, since we were staying at sticklinch, so we parked near the thing, walked to the box office, and drove to sticklinch. However we did arrive on Thursday, so probably much less crowded and busy then on a Tuesday or Wednesday arrival

Dutchie here as well, have not gotten them yet. No real panic tho, since for one everyone still is waiting for them, and I assume they know this and have some 'alternative arrangements' in place. Last year we had to pick up our tickets (international tickets were not sent out) at the box office and all and all that was quite a smooth process. I assume they would set up something similar for these tickets.

Still no tickets here as well (also from the Netherlands). I followed the advice and contacted see tickets as well.
I also bought a car park ticket for sticklinch which will arrive separately and only just got dispatching mail today.... not thinking that one will arrive anytime soon tbh. -

For me similar to other years I would say (although comparing to this year, I actually like this year's line up better).
Would like to see Gavin James, Netwon Faulkner, Sniff 'n' the Tears or Bootleg Beatles, but probably will see neither because of clashes! -

Kinda surprising how often this has already happened with the poster drops 😛

Edit - removed comment here because I noticed other thread. Lets get back to talking about who is playing where 😄

I thought that the chicks were 'confirmed' for Sunday? I believe they are playing other shows on both Friday and Saturday
-

Could they possibly do the Other Stage Opener slot? Seems like in recent years those were smaller bands than Pulp, but still seems to be a viable slot that has not been filled yet.

Fully agree! Last time was one of the few headliners where I genuinely was really sad for it to be over (already) when they started Up&Up
