  1. Flying from Belfast to Bristol the day before to get supplies and crashing in a hostel then making my way to the festival as early as possible. If anyone has any suggestions on methods of transport from Bristol to Glasto they would be much appreciated!

  2. My first Glastonbury last year and camped at Oxylers with a few mates. (I arrived on the Friday they had been there since Wednesday) People's tents were getting raided all around us.

Think it was the Sunday I was lounging outside my tent and got approached by security and asked was this my tent etc. Showed them my passport and was a bit annoyed with them because I thought maybe my Belfast accent was why I was getting reported as suspicious or something.

Luckily I didn't get anything nicked but I wasn't expecting it to be like that at all.

Def be testing the lock ups this year. Unsure about camping in Oxylers again though!

Is it too early to be deliriously happy? I have followed this thread through the dark times, and now things are looking up.

The festival means so much to me this year.  Last year, after pretty much the worst period of my life, I tried and failed for tickets for the first time. Been going on off since 2005,  but that was the last straw after a shitstorm of a year. Done some muddy ones but good weather would make somethings a lot easier on me this year. One of the weird side effects of stress last year was that almost all my hair fell out. It's been recovering since August last year, to the point where I pretty much have normal hair again, but it will be much easier to maintain in dry weather. One less stress. Aside from that I have been fantasizing about sitting at the glastonbury sign in the sun on the wednesday, cider in hand, just reflecting about life is finally peachy again. I am getting choked up just picturing it.

    Totes emotes.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful stress free festival!

With the upcoming Bastardbowl episode this weekend, I've just realised that I'll be missing the final episode next Sunday night / Monday morning. I have it recorded on sky plus though so if any of you lot spoil it for me before my trip home to Belfast there'll be wild fire for all of you.

Sorry if it's an off-topic thread but I'm a bit drunk and have been watching Glasto / GOT videos on YouTube all night with a bottle of Hendricks gin

    PS Will Griggs on fire

I'll be watching it on the way home on the Ferry to Belfast on Monday night.

    PS Your defence is terrified!

  5. Everyone chill out the sites flooded. It will drain out if it doesn't rain heavy over the coming days and it doesn't look like its going to.

The forecast is also showing some pretty nice weather for the actual festival.

In terms of the whole clay thing I haven't a clue like but it will be grand!

Yep, coach back to Liverpool at 8am, worse morning of my entire life. Taking a pillow last year was the best idea I ever had

I travelled back to Liverpool too. Defo taking a pillow for Wednesday's journey.

Got coach back at about 1pm to liverpool and got stuck in mad traffic then an 8 hour ferry to Belfast at 10pm. Pretty much locked myself in a cubicle with the fear for the duration of the cruise home. Bringing the car this time!!
