  1. Yes pet shop boys would be so good ! But maybe the year after  , you’re right doubt they would do another Manchester date so close .

Still holding out for the LCD dream ! Can we have Al Doyle can put in a word please. And get despacio in the tent too

Aphex twin would be another awesome shout , especially with visuals up on the telescope - imagine !!!

Realistically - fourtet ? He was headlining green man.

When do we usually get announcement? We need a bluedot thingy

  2. Hopefully Bluedot can nab them as they do love their synthie electronica bands ( pixies aside !) And then have Bjork the other night and my life will be complete.

Latitude don't deserve them now after the decline in state of things !

  3. FINALLY!!!! Only over the weekend had been contemplating going up to Blackpool from London today ! Am so pleased!!!

    He didn't desert us .

Anyone not going to be using their presale email by any chance ?!   Love the eventim but sound is always a bit boomy if you're under the balcony in the stalls ,  or do you reckon will be standing ?

These guys have had stellar line ups so far, but I never go, maybe next year. I would've loved to have seen Jean MJ, Caribou, Orbital, Pixies etc AND now I hear there was a Moomin film?!

YES!! It was a total life highlight! One of the things I was most excited about before the festival and it didn't disappoint.

They took the story of the comet from the original 1980's animations ( fuzzy felt style  one) and took away any dialogue , and with a variety of instruments , ocarinas, melodeon , recorders , and lots of wonderful sounds improvised a soundtrack. It was so unique and special.

Stupidly I didn't realise till the end that one of the two men was Graeme Millar who wrote the original theme tune ! It was one of the loveliest things of the festival and be great if they could repeat it somewhere.

  5. Another question from a newbie !

So I'm going down early for the settlers pass but as that area  then becomes family camping does anyone  know if any of the settlers then unsettle and move over to general ? Seems a right hassle but I've never camped in a family camping area at a festival and as I'm a night owl , am bit reluctant to be camping amongst early morning types once the festival starts ... or will it be ok?!

  6. Who do you mean - Kendall calling have sold half the tickets for next year or Bluedot?

I'd love to see Bjork there , Jon Hopkins , Bon iver .

That Moomins film with live music would be so wonderful if they did that again. It was one of my highlights , me and my pal were weeping away. The Sunday weeps always get me somehow .

  7. Love Sundays, always find them so chilled out and has that anything will set you off for a weep, and then you're ready for a big final night, dancing your socks off for one last time. Last 3 years had fantastic bands have been on sunday Justice this year, LCD and PJ last, Patti Smith and Dalai Lama even!! Can't compare it with a wednesday as joyous as they are to be back in the field!

the Radiohead Lips clash is the worst thing Glastonbury has ever done.

Certainly up there with the PJ/Beck debacle of last year.

I agree, reckon it will be one of the sets of the festival, saw them at wilderness and brixton this year and it was utterly joyous, life affirming stuff. Visually perfect - you don't need no hallucinogenics!  Everyone will walk away beaming. I will be at Radiohead however, having my own lfie affirming moments, probably weeping. Goddammit

  9. GULP ! I was looking at the TBA's in the engine room this morning and wondering if that could be that could be a possibility ! Hope so, won't have to deal with getting into SE corner if that's the case. Great info.

Anyone there for his Shangrila Heaven dj set in 2013? Remember him playing talking heads once in a lifetime and thinking life could not get much better!

  10. Am really  looking forward to hearing Ryley Walker on a blissed out Sunday, he's like the reincarnation of Tim Buckley and John Martyn..

Sunday won't be moving far from West holts with him, Cinematic orchestra/moderat/ justice.

  11. Nighttime for me at latitude is where you have to make an adjustment if you're used to dancing till dawn at Glastonbury. Not nearly so much going on! I recommend spending one night at the Cabaret tent though, shows run till 2am and then music to 3. The disco shed is fun or there is little dj booth up at the back by the theatre tents in the woods , they were playing joyous stuff last year. A select crowd having a great time.

come 3am you're on your own to find the party!

  12. WOW! The size is immense!

Really excited for tmrw, such a good line up with some hideous clashes - Aphex , moderat, jon hopkins are the must sees!

Do you think it's possible to dash around between Fly Lo, Aphex and RTJ? want to do it all.

Also want to see Andy Shauf but he's on early at 12.30 :(  be a long day.

I'm going on my own if anyone would like to meet and  save me drinking too much to make up for it!!

  13. Agree- that cocktail cockatoo bar is one of my glastobury treasures. One of the best things when I was in the E camper van field  was the straight path towards a bloody mary every morning. They greeted me like an old friend by the 3rd day :D

Missed it last year as bit of a trek from campsites last year . They need a van on the other side too!

Also recommend the juice/smoothie place by west holts, down from la grande bouffe.  Life giving at certain times of the day

that would certainly be a downgrade

What if he's not allowed to perform for self confirming so early ? ? they took his slot away hasn't that been done before?

I did wonder if something like that happened when he didn't appear on the first line up poster , harsh punishment if true :(   when did it happen before?

  15. This is unbelievable!!! Why would he announce he was playing so early then? It makes no sense. Did he just presume he was playing because he had before?

    Gutted.

Absolutely killed it at Brixton start of this year. Headlining wilderness so will catch him there thankfully. But what a disappointment for the band

  16. And Pictish Trail on after Las Kellies at William's Green 2pm

And the sunday gap, you've got Keston Cobblers club at Williams green  if you like it folk tinged

  17. My void will also be in need of filling on that friday..
Could bimble around the theatre and circus fields- I never get a chance to do that usually once the bands start up.

Or just been listening to the bands at Williams Green, often find hidden gems- Las Kellies  , south american girl band sound excellent on at 1pm
