I marked 23 artists on Thursday, it almost seems like a joke
I see that everyone has now realized the difficulties of managing the Thursday clashes... Whatever happens, there will be tears to be had

Barry Can't Swim
Obongjayar
Badbadnotgood

I'd see Lost Dinner Party too, reckon their afternoon Mordor material though

Expect updated line up (ins and outs or P&B electronic line up… no boiler room i think) this week.
Less than 35 days to know literally everything including timetables and map
And reservations for La Ciutat Shows

now she has 3 consecutive dates booked in France so she is almost to be excluded...

Nah, it's just the one date of a three day festival.
True, let's keep hope alive...

I only meant in terms of taste (not size) and including the excellent subs.
Exactly, I think Grace Jones' repertoire is much better than SZA's, I don't care much about Spotify listeners when I have to go to a concert

Great lineup

I mean, it's definitely not weaker headliners if you look at it objectively. Lana and SZA are much bigger than any of those headliners.
With all due respect, I prefer these headliners, BBK this year better than PS for me

I don't know PJ Harvey well and I don't know where to start with her music - from what I've heard I see what you mean about she might not suit main stage, though Glasto have her on mainstage so I guess her festival set will be more of a mix?
Last time i saw her on Other Stage at Glasto.... Stories from the city and stories from the Sea Is a good start

considering that 99.99999999 of the bands on tour don't play at this festival, this doesn't seem like a very relevant clue

Don't think its a Zeitgeist issue. Anohni is an artists that i wouldn't expect to turn up at festivals anymore. I saw her on the last tour and the entire show rested on the intimacy of a philharmonic hall.
but let's remember that PS has the Auditori...

Okay, so - all speculation and speculation on speculation and speculating that someone has speculated a speculation aside.
Who are the top three artists you've "discovered" in the lead up to PS2024?
I use "discovered" in the loosest, most personal sense. Ie - I have no delusion that Bikini Kill are an underground overlooked cult darling. But I'd never really tried them before this lineup was announced, and shock horror - they're absolutely f**king brilliant.
Top three so far for me:
Bikini Kill
Lambchop
Beth Gibbons.
PS - Is there any indication of what Lambchop will play at their set? It's an "intimate piano performance" so I'm not sure if recent setlists will give much to go by.
Wolf Eyes
Militarie Gun
Gel

The more I look at the Thursday, the more I weep. Ridiculous number of killer bands that could have been spread more across Friday (especially) and Saturday.
And we didn’t even get any relief with some of them doubling up for Ciutat.
Painful choices incoming…
23 names marked for Thursday, whatever happens there will be tears for me

Never been into boiler room. Auditorium has always been fine but in 2022 for the most wanted acts there were 40+ minutes long cues and at some point the cue just collapsed into completely non supervised chaos. Furthermore, I think they said you would have to leave the venue and do the cue again for consecutive shows but eventually they were not emptying the room.
In short: I waited 30+ minutes for low without getting in and I had to wait for the end of their show to get to autechreI have never been kicked out of the Auditori, I have even seen 3 concerts in a row sometimes

What sort of a gimp downvotes a post merely pining for some good bands. Gobshite.
it's absurd, there are people who don't feel right in the head, in the meantime I'm upvoting you

It is almost certain that the canceled name will be the National (perfect dates) but it seems really strange to create hype for an announcement like this, names like Pet Shop Boys, Beck Phoenix have been announced at Ciutat without any problem...
It would be sensational if it were a name not present in the lineup or some unexpected reunion
