Well, Pinkpop is not the most adventurous of festivals :P and the line-up hasn't been too great in the last few years for spoiled festival goers like us! ;) But I'm considering going the monday, SOAD, Prophets of Rage, Liam Gallagher and Gütterdammerung should be good!

The rules say you can bring 12 cans a bottle and 1 plastic bottle per person, but security usually isn't too tight. You can consider walking back and forth to your car to pick up some more booze as well.

As for other alcoholic drinks, glass isn't allowed, but it shouldn't be too difficult to sneak in 1 or 2 bottles.

What time on friday do you arrive? Some people spend the night just outside the camping and campings usually open a few hours earlier than they say on the website. You could also consider booking a hotel, there should be one pretty close.

Hey thanks a lot for the tips!

Yes I know the line-up is not the best one but a festival is always a good excuse to have a great time!

We don't know for sure but we will arrive around 23:00 - 01:00 am so I think we will just stay outside the camping and have some beers then.

    Have a nice weekend!

    Saluuuudd!!

  2. Hello fellow festival fans,

This year me and a couple of friends are going to PinkPop. I have been to Rock werchter, Rock am Ring, Hurricane, Lowlands , Sziget and some other smaller festivals before. I do not know why in this forum there is not even open topic about pinkpop. But maybe someone could help out.

We can't camp on Pinkpop from Friday so I was wondering where can we camp instead on friday?

Also how strict are they with the policy of no hard-alcohol and amount of beer cans allowed to bring to the camp site?

    Saluud !!!

  3. Does anyone recommends a camping spot or place to camp? We are not looking for a greencammping or stuff like that we want to be close to a party place or not that far from the festival. We are arriving on Thursday evening.

    Hi Bss44,

I was following this topic and i can easily answer your questions. I am from The Netherlands and this year is my third time lowlands.

The token system is easy, you can buy coins for €2.60/€2.70 per unit. A beer is one coin. On the camping site their is no electricity. You can get food both on the camp and at the festival.

Going as well this year! First time in Lowlands.

How harsh is the camping control? Are we allowed to take beers, alcohol, grill equipment etc. In their web page it doesn't says anything.

    New acts confirmed:

Lindsey Stirling • Tocotronic • Róisín Murphy • Alan Walker • The Temper Trap • DESTRUCTO • Jagwar Ma • JUNGE JUNGE • Josef Salvat • Topic • Nothing But Thieves • MNEK • L.A.

Can't say I'm particularly wowed. Thought there'd be more big stuff to come but alright, I'm just going for Radiohead anyway. Jagwar Ma will be decent if I get there in time - my flight lands at 1.

Mash011 I do not think the will be more announcements. On the web page it says full line-up . It seems very weak to me in comparison to last year, almost no rock bands.

    Hi everyone,

Just booked myself tickets for Rock am ring! Would be great if anyone can give me some advice as it will be my first time here and i will be coming solo! None of my friends can make it and decided I'm going anyway the line up is too good to miss :D

I have not booked my travel yet but I think i will be flying into Cologne and from there get the train. What day does the festival open so you can set up camp and can anyone advise a good day to arrive?

Also as I was wondering if anyone knows if there are sometimes efestival camping groups or meetups? As I'm coming alone it would be good to find some people that I could pitch near or meet up with!

    Hi,

I was last year and I think the perfect day to arrive is on Wednesday or even on Thursday but really soon because last year we arrived on Thursday evening and it was too late there was a problem with camping space, they had to improvise camping areas because there was no space left, so my suggestion is if you can arrive on Wednesday, do it. :)

I do not know about any camping group but I'm going with a couple of friends we are staying at the rock an roll camping, you can gladly join.

There was only due to be 6 acts on main stage on the Thursday until Foo Fighters pulled out bear in mind as Royal Blood and FNM were Foo's replacements. I'm thinking similarly this year as Foo's were meant to play for 2.5/3 hours which I think Macca will have therefore only 6 main stage acts unless they open the gates earlier. I'd say 3/4 more acts each day Thurs - 1 Main, 2 Klub C, Fri - 1 Main, 1 Klub C & 1-2 Barn, Sat - 3 Klub C, Sun - 1 Main, 1 Barn & 1-2 Klub C

Was meant to be - Marmozets, EODM, Rise Against, Florence & The Machine, Foo Fighters and The Chemical Brothers

But it turned out to be - Marmozets, EODM, Royal Blood, Rise Against, F&TM, Faith No More and The Chemical Brothers

There was also a change on Sunday, which is not in the clashfinder, the vaccines played in the main stage and not in the barn, I think it was because Jessie J cancel if I remember well.

Last year tickets sold out around May/June if I recall correctly. This year it may sold out quicker as they announce half of the tickets were already gone before announcing the line-up

Thanks a lot A-Rob! Will buy my tickets this week just to be sure!

Yes they are :) They play at Tinderbox (23-25 June), Down The Rabbit Hole (24-26 June), and Pistoia Blues (12th July)

Thanks! That makes them a great contender, hope they get announced today. We need some good names, the last two weeks specially the last one was chaos!

Might be mistaken, but didnt Rammstein announce a load of EU fests (not incl Werchter) and then confirm Werchter a few hours later?

Yes I think you are right, it was announce on a Wednesday if I'm correct. Well we will have to wait and see if today we get Radiohead!
