I’m taking my Sodastream and two bottles, I do every year and I stay in a tent.

Ha! The things people take. So cool. I remember seeing a news article last year about someone who took a proper bed in with him 😂😂

Is there any info on whereabouts in the healing fields this takes place? Is the time and place detailed anywhere - in the program for instance? Its not something I've been too before so would like to try something different as well - thanks.

    Dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️

I assume it will be in the programme.

The AllPress cafe in the Greenpeace area

I've heard a lot of people mention that place. Will have to give it a try.

Obviously it's the same as the opening ceremony, but viewing it from the Pyramid field means there's no crowds, loads of space and you can see all three displays across the hillside opposite.

    That's a brill idea actually 🙂

I vaguely remember things like the Samaritans tent years ago giving out hot water

Thanks. Wouldn't want to take advantage or anything, but if they're happy to do that for people that'd be brilliant.

  6. Through a bit of my own research I found this. It's not at the same time as the fireworks display, but this is more the sort of thing I'm looking for.

Opening Ceremony ~ Wednesday around 4pm
Be a part of creating the beauty and the magic of the Healing Field. Our Opening Ceremony celebrates the essence of each of the Elements: Fire, Earth, Water and Air; initiating our transformation of the self and of the community. Come and awaken the Elements with us, setting your intentions for the days ahead.

There will be lots going on. Just chill and explore your new home

I was looking for specific recommendations, to be honest. I've been to Glasto before, but I'd like to do something other than the traditional fireworks.

Hi All. Not quite a newbie, I've been around this site for years but just had to create a new account because apparently my old one doesn't exist anymore! Anyway, got tickets in the resale so heading to Glasto for the 9th time this year with wife and friends (and no kids for a change!). Cannae wait!!

I got lucky in the resale too, so looking forward to my first since 2019 🙏🏼

Celebrations are dwindling and now I'm feeling a bit nervous because I'll be semi-alone. It'll still be great though.

  10. Does anyone know if you can get hot water anywhere on site, either free or for a small price? I'm planning on bringing coffee bags with me, but don't want to lug a stove around.

  11. You obviously don't know what being "held accountable" means. Here is a definition from the free dictionary:

Expected or required to account for one's actions; answerable.

If you don't think that applies to people who are taking a lot of money from a lot of people then YOU are the idiots.

I'm leaving now. Idiots on a forum shouldn't be allowed to make someone feel like how I feel now.

    Goodbye.

  12. It's not all about money. Unless you think money is the only way of saying thanks.

That's the sort of thing someone with plenty of money says. When I hand over £200+, that's a huge BJ of a thankyou.

It;s the duty to put on a great festival. It's not their duty to pander to the whim of every moron.

I don't understand what whim is being pandered to. All I know is that there's got to be accountability to ensure that a great festival does keep getting put on.
