I love the tipis, the view is excellent and you feel you’re really in the festival. But £1700 is mental considering it was £900 just a few years ago. (2019ish). Trying WV for the first time this year.

Beware of "hardcore hippies"
They are always front and centre.
tipis are great, but the shower queue is an hour long and someone had done a sh*t in one last year. Also at £1700 a go, it’s become absurdly expensive for what it is. -

Quite. There’s still a place for it at Glastonbury, just not at the top of the Pyramid in the current era of mega headliners.
I’m sorry I didn’t mean to downvote that. I pressed by accident and now I’ve run out of reactions.

I’m with you with Dave here. Bit strange that an artist of his size would come down for a feature for one song. I reckon it’s sowing the seed for next year.

Connections. The beeb and record companies have more than they can use and sell them off. And workers of various kinds are able to get them on a needed basis.
From a connection in the record industry, apparently this year is extremely hard for even industry professionals to get hold of tickets due to popularity.

Gate D, queued through the night. Got in the queue at 1:30am, drank, had a laugh, was through the gate at 08:30am and fully pitched up in Pennard Hill by 09:45 with 5 tents.
Met a friend of a friend who left London around 3am in the car, was at Glasto by 5, in the queue for 5:30/6 and still got a space no problem in Pennnard by about 11am!

I know very little about drake other than his insane priced concerts and that he's acquainted with a woman who used to call him on his cell phone so my instincts say he won't do Glastonbury. Kendrick's were pretty pricey as well so I have no idea why I think he's more likely, I just think he's a bit more artsy fartsy so would be more up for being on a big bill like this and not just his own thing. Plus he's already done R&L so he's got festival form.
Spot on with Foals though, ignore the neysayers.
Agreed on the concert price tag thinking, but Kanye would have been a similar sort of price, yet they still got him to sign up.
Who knows.

They're just a bit... not very good. That's all.
Wasn't commenting on their musical ability, just the idea that they may headline.
I think what you mean is that you don't like them, not that they are 'not very good'

I genuinely think it is just coz everyone here wants him to. But I think that's alright, we're still pretty early into the whole guessing process and no obvious answers are getting ignored because of it yet. Ticks a lot of boxes of the clues we've been given.
Hi all,
Pope here returning for a 7th year. Kendrick has been mentioned as a possible headliner for about the last 3 glastos, maybe more? Drake has a pretty strong connection with a lot of British artists including Stromzy, so i'm sure would lower his price tag if he was asked....
Both would be a hit, but Drake more so in my opinion.
Taylor
Drake
Foals
As my guess
Foals doing Park stage 'surprise' plus new material out, plus they have subbed Pyramid before.

I’m often misdiagnosed as a bad egg because I’ve got -11votes. This was essentially due to saying how much I enjoyed Kanye.
All the best

I just think you would get more replies in a new thread, nothing at all to do with common practice on here. On any forums people tend to read the OP (Original Post) and then reply, so your question will be lost. Only trying to help!
Cheers Stoney. You’re a good bloke/bird.

I would suggest you start a new thread asking the question as it bears little relevance to this thread.
Well the title of the thread is ‘Gate Worry’ and in it, there is the discussion of gates and worry and queues, which part of my question is in relation to. Instead of opening a 362788th thread, I thought I best put it in the most relevant one.
Apologies if if that’s not common practice.

Hola,
Myself and a few cardinals have general admission tix for the first time in 5 years. Want to try to secure a space in Pennard for around 4/5 tents. Do we need to be in the queue Tuesday night at 9pm Or is 2/3am Wednesday okay?
Also, is PGA the best to enter through, or is PGD better? I’ve only ever gone through A, but this year will be coming from West Car Parks.
Thanks in advance.
