  1. First time in ten years missing the festival.. so glad it is nearly the weekend the last couple of days at work have been absolute torture. I tried every single avenue to get tickets this year but to no avail.. I’m praying there is success in October. Doesn’t bear thinking about not being there for three years in a row ?

anyway didn’t think I could bring myself to watch any of it but really looking forward to catching lauryn hill and stormzy

How does your wife cope being a teacher and going Glasto? Just the Saturday and Sunday?

I’m a trainee teacher and worrying about not being able to go when im fully qualified!

We're London so she travels down Friday eve and back Sunday eve, not ideal but better than nothing I suppose..

I've told her to call in sick but its too late now as they know she goes every year, if I had advice it'd be to not tell anyone about it and just call it in.

I would love some help , unfortunately I’m running the London marathon on re sale day so I will be limited to phone if that ....!

let me know if you can, I have even thought about not running the marathon but have to much sponsor money now !!!

I'm also doing it this year and need to get tickets in the General Sale as my missus is a Teacher so the coach isn't an option for us.

I'm even thinking about bringing a laptop and heading to a cafe in Blackheath around 9am, putting it in the bag deposit vans and then doing the run! Not the most ideal prep for 26.2 miles but I prioritise glasto over pretty much anything!

Oh wow -  I was there the other day for a Record sale and I could have sworn it looked nothing like that!

Looks like enough room to have a shuffle along to Oxford Comma so all good.

  5. These guys absolutely nailed their gig last week at Brixton. Even though their light show would have made them perfect for a late night set I'm sure they will still go down a treat in a sunset slot on WH. ?

Fold socks down over top of laces so the bow is covered. Lift sock at end of night and clean laces await you.

    Worked a treat last year.

    GameChanger

  7. I think they're more likely to  pull out a lot of the younger uk acts, especially the ones already confirmed - nines, Dave, aj Tracey etc

  8. I've only ever been Bushy Ground on a Wednesday but we are all getting there on Thursday this year, do you reckon they'll be space for around 10 (5/6 tents) early Thurs am?- I'm guessing not but cant really remember how busy that campsite gets by Thursday lunch.

Ah man, that sucks. How did you do it? Just mid game with no contact from anyone?

Whats your estimated recovery time? If its any concilation a close mate tore/ruptured an ankle tendon pretty badly in October and managed to recover and work up enough fitness to do an Inca trail trek up to Machu Picchui in Peru by Febuary. He really dedicated himself to his rehab for it. and managed to cut his estimated recovery by about 2/3 weeks. And now he really understands the benefits of certain stretches and exercises to help prevent injuries

Rolled it and then contact from someone else pushed it further away from where it should have gone.. heard it go straightaway and knew immediately the marathon was gone (I can defer to 2018 though which is a silver lining) also made me grateful I hadn't done it close to glasto. I know never to play football close to T Day now.

Fair play to your mate - impressive going! I'd like to be able to walk unaided within a month and then gradually build the strength back up so that i can do a triathlon I've entered in mid may back home in cov. We'll see though.. all baby steps atm!
