Hi guys I'm sure this has been mentioned but I'm on a very slow computer and flying out tomorrow - how do we get back to lisbon in the early hours via pubic transport? We are going to get viva viagem cards so hoping to use them instead of a taxi. I've read that 'trains run all night' but can't find anything specific about times and how regular they are!? And whether there are buses and trams or just trains? Thanks in advance for any help

Think last year "Brits" made up about 5% of the total crowd .. Who knows what is popular with the Portuguese crowd, hence the lower prices and lack of established names from UKscene. The Saturday is def a shocker though, but there's so much to visit in the area away from the festival just gives me more free time during the day !!

I don't recall paying above €4 for a large beer anywhere - in Lisbon, on festival site, at hotels. I may be wrong but sure it was just €3.50 at site. And it's cash, no tokens - and didn't wait longer than 2 minutes ever for a beer. They also have heaps of workers with back pack beer kegs (though they only sell halves - and for the price if a large one!) handy if your near the front though amongst the swarms.

Informative and reassuring... Nice one!
How much are the litres of beer? Around the 6-7 euro mark?

Yeah the missus also wants to see Mr Smith. He was on last year in the Heineken tent and pretty popular and almost unknown at the time. Unfortunately id have dragged her to most things the thurs / fri so gonna have to play along, I could quite happily skip the whole of Saturday !!
Assuming same layout as 2014 the gstar raw is a bandstand - well worth a look.
An additional bonus, last year they had stacks of table soccer tables surrounded by pick n mixes.
And everything within the arena is pretty bloody cheap - and Lisbon as a whole. Came back last year with plenty of euros, and didn't want for anything whilst out there.

That's great to know, thanks!
Can't wait to get out there now that we know the time splits - very little in terms of clashes for me either although the wife wants to see Sam Smith and myself Mogwai.

@broken monkey ... Pretty much zero time between stages - just enough for acoustics not to clash. The site as a whole is pretty small.

Really don't worry about getting wristbands ... The queues of workers giving them out were bigger than the puntersqueing for them ..

Note ... The KFC only sells crisps - not fries !!! Tbh last year I grabbed a kebab a few times, decent quality and about €4 a go. KFC I had was poor and the burger my missus had was shit !!!

Only festival i know that serves pizza hut AND kfc!!

Met a lot of campers last year. They were having a great time but did say they barely slept due to the noise in site, and found hard to escape the sun. Definitely for younger people without being ageist! I went for the hotel 10 minute train journey away, which will be the plan this year. There was a pool there also , and free bus to site. Taxis dead cheap, approx 3 euros for a 5 min journey and road pretty clear so no extra charges for being stuck in traffic.

Last year I got the Alive app, and stage times were put on there a few days before, just after final line up confirmed. They also dish out free neck timetables ion arrival (like the ones UK festivals charge £10 for)

With it being almost exactly a month to the festival now, when do people think we'll get a final lineup announced? Still quite a few holes in the lineup which could bring a few surprises hopefully.
Were stage times, etc announced before the festival last year does anybody recall?

There was a comedy stage last year (which is none English) however the Saturday is pretty weak as was 2014's. I think they blow most the budget on the first two days to get the 3 day tickets sold. Would like to see a couple of established names playing the Saturday, even if not headline status. Seems a trek just to see Disclosure at midnight.

Arrived at the site in first day last year at 330 .. No queue whatsoever for wristbands and straight in.

Memory serves me that there was a train on the cascais line that ran every half hour. The latest I caught this was 2.30am though, I think someone in my hotel got it around 3.30 though.
Public transport good - though on the Saturday it gets unbelievably busy, mainly locals travelling to beaches etc. proper can of sardines stuff !
