  1. afternoon all,

We made the decision last week that we aren't going to try for tickets this year, we have been the last few times and it is time for someone else to have the opportunity.

That being said, it means that we won't be refreshing like lunatics this year. interestingly, we also have Starlink for our ISP as we live in the arse end of nowhere and are living in a caravan while we renovate a house, I am keen to see how "Stinky the Starlink " performs...

TLDR: If you would like us to try for tickets for you, then we would be happy to help fellow forum members out.

    all the best

They are linked to your tickets and have names/address on etc so wouldn't be able to swap unfortunately. Thanks though!

    True that

However, if you vaguely coordinate arriving, one jumps in one van, one jumps in the other, then swap once through the gate and heading in the right direction :)

That was my thoughts, awaits edumucationalising as to why that's not a goer :)

Got two campervan east tickets as required, but due to a slight error we have ended up with one normal and one quiet. Will we still be able to be together in one or the other or is there no chance?

If not I guess we can try and get one in the resale etc

Ummm, which one did you want to be in? We have one quiet and one general between two groups of us......

    we would prefer two quiet....

You know that I said that me and my wife weren't going to go to Glastonbury next year - well that's no longer the case. Once my wife heard that Radiohead are playing she now wants to go to see them at all costs. She first heard the band when she was locked up in a psychiatric unit after having made a serious attempt at taking her own life. While in there here brother visited and gave her a cd of the band. She listened to it over and over and over again, and it got her out of the dark place where she was in.

I'd love for her to see the band live at Glastonbury, so any offers of help come the resales would be beyond fantastic. I, for one, would be eternally grateful as I'd love to make this experience come true for her.

Forgive me if you see this posted elsewhere, but I've just got to make this happen.

    Hi Yog.

definitely count me in to give you a hand on the day, particularly after your very kind offer of help at the last minute on T day.

@mardy Also happy to add you to my group, been reading your posts since I joined for Glastonbury 2015.

Two more spaces available for anyone that wants them. preferably lurkers and long time posters for obvious reasons :)

    cheers,

  5. Can't really see the point of this argument?

Person A. Free to spend their money how they want, including their choice of accommodation.

Person B. Free to do the same and make use of ample camping around the site.

Had a discussion today with two of our group who wanted to get a tent in TF. £840 for four I think it was. Their rationale? Can't face the walk with all the gear and they haven't got a tent themsleves, having borrowed one the last few years.

I did consider it, but tbh at £400 a couple, I couldn't justify it. The walk (not the queue) was an hour each way at most from east car parks last two years. I have a decent tent, so don't need another one. So.... that would mean the walk in and back has cost me £100 each way to avoid. (Set aside the other £200 for general luxuries at TF).

Last year I got put on the list for TF by a friend, and never used the facilities. Couldn't be arsed to mooch over for a shower from our field.

Either way, if people wanna posh camp or whatever, let them get on with it. No skin off my nose and it's bizarre that others get so het up about it :)

  6. I managed to get in and get tickets today. Heart goes out to those of you that didn't. Sadly I recognise a few names from the bunfight that was last years, last ditch, secret resale fiasco :(

More than happy to assist anyone still needing tickets at resale time...

    Keep the faith.

Since when has the festival been open and accepting of all opinions?

Anyway, your post has been heartwarming to read. I'm glad you got told to fuck off, you nasty, selfish, small-minded, thick, racist c**t.

    A) I don't believe I stated which way, if at all, that I voted.

    B) you're a clown.

  8. It's interesting that as a festival where openness, acceptance of others and their  different opinions and championing of their right to speak is promoted, there was a very nasty atmosphere to those who chose to exercise their right and voted to leave.

I saw people being called racists and crowds chanting for people to "fuck off"...

The level of hypocrisy was astounding.

  9. Chvrches for me too.

Second Glasto, pretty muddy and tired....

Sunset kicked in just as our "extras" to help with the tiredness did. Me and the same group of five friends that did Glasto last year, danced the entire set.

Amazing place, amazing time, amazing people.

Bizarrely, went to say hello to our neighbour as I was unpacking the car when I got home and nearly burst into tears!

    Overtired maybe :)
