Horribly organised festival, no attempt to get over fridays weather wa shade at all.
I got lucky in the sense that I saw most of the bands I aimed to on Friday (in the giant squid) and yesterday. Gutted about today, having to fork out money to get home to Glasgow a day early wasn't ideal when I was more than happy to make the most of the last day. Oh well- where else is good for next year?

Seems I got lucky with the majority of bands I wanted to see yesterday being in then. Some great sets in the giant squid and frank turner in the quarry.
So far so good today. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend

Anyone spotted any cash machines on site? I can't seem to find any..
Never mind. There's some next to the helter skelter, if anyone's still looking.

I'll probably go on the biffy day and as much as I'd like to see Radiohead I don't think I could justify it paying for two days

Neither Bellahouston or The Hydro sold out either. Will be expecting a very strong undercard for that one.
I think Bellahouston did sell out like a day before the event or something. But yeah a big undercard needed. Even as a massive Biffy fan I need some convincing

My first Y not this year after trekking down from Glasgow and I must say I loved it. Had no issues with security or anything and the crowd seemed mostly friendly from my experience. Spent a lot of time in the giant squid stage and never found it dangerously overcrowded. Favourite bands have to be Editors who blew me away, neck deep, Moose blood, madness and gnarlwolves.
Would maybe return next year depending on line up, although I really want to try 2000 trees

Trying to book a taxi to take us to and from the site. We're getting the train to Buxton buy the shuttle bus times don't suit. Does anyone have the number of a local taxi company?
-
Also does anyone know how much a taxi from Buxton station would cost? Looks like I might have to be getting a taxi to and from the site of it's possible

Anyone know when a site map is likely to be released?

I love it already.

The Biffy day is pretty good for me with state champs, fob, the wombats, modern baseball, the king blues, the vaccines and biffy all must sees depending on clashes. The other 2 days don't do anything for me at all though but hopefully that changes with more of the pit announcements.

Can't wait for The Wonder Years. Looking forward to them more that Shikari
Both bands killed it in Glasgow the other night. The Wonder Years stole the show for me though. Came out swinging with Soupy on the barrier is always epic!

Don't care about Guetta but Muse is a fantastic booking for me. May well book Sziget and just give Werchter a miss this year

Still no headliner?

was it?? royal blood, catfish, wolf alice, jack garratt
Personally it was. I like Royal blood but had seen them loads already, don't care much about the others there and I really hate Mumford. Don't get me wrong though, that annoucement is really shit as well

Pretty horrible announcement for me. Although, the second announcement last year (M&S) was even worse and I ended up going in the end so who knows

If the rumours of Springsteen are true, do people think that he could be confirmed before Friday or will we have to wait?

That happened to me recently with the Green Day gig in Glasgow. Luckily I ended up getting the money back from the person (a few weeks late) but it did strike me how easily the person could have walked away with my money and the refund. It's the risk you take I guess
