We travelled for it! It was quite the trip back to London since the last train was at 22:03 so we missed it - but so worth it!!
We travelled for it too 245 miles from Teesside! It was worth it .

Amazing - hope you enjoy and definitely report back! Also, any chance of a wave for us streamers?
Got a free 'ticket' yesterday in exchange for writing a quick review for my mate, so prob going to give it a whirl and watch it with a few beers at friend's (a different one - I have two) tonight.I hope you seen me waving!!
What an experience it was ,I've never been to anything like that. It was really strange walking into Dreamland and seeing how they had set up with distance between the pods of four front of the stage and a raised area to the rear for stets of two people.
Our pod was bang centre front of stage.I didn't catch the Dj's name who was playing just as we arrived. But he was playing some real nice stuff.
I'm outside at a gig! The Dj's set is over ,I've got a beer in hand, the techs are doing the final checks on stage then the lights go down Hot chip come onto stage .' I got that feelingIi've been waiting four months for,The unmistakable intro to Huarache nights brings the hairs up I'm ready for this, really ready for this.Ready for the floor gave me that moment we all need and yes there were tears.Maybe i was being a bit over enthusiastic in my dancing but the nod and comment for Joe Goddard kept me right up there.
By the time over and over was playing i think half the pods had been left with people moving closer to the stage while still keeping a good distance between each other, the place was buzzing. The band left the stage right after that track and the security herded people back to their pods.
Back on stage they played the new cover of the velvets candy says into the final tracks on the gig.
I've seen Hot chip at least ten times over the years and seen them play better than this. but the experience was so different very personal, surreal at times.I loved it .

nowadays it's Shangri-la crew camping, the field between the dragon field and the fence.
(Just to be clear, it was an 'official' stage in that field just the one year, and not an adhoc one)
I think its the field where Wallys bar is these days?
I used to camp in there quite often.
Was the stage the chapel of love and hate?i seem to remember it was very nearby.

I mean yeah, why should you lose your ticket through no fault of your own?
As harsh as it may sound you may have a ticket for a cancelled event. You would receive a refund.
Next years festival is a different event.

Absolutely this.
Left Paak who I was loving for Radiohead and regretted due to the muted atmosphere where i stood.
Left Radiohead for the Flaming Lips and caught set of the weekend.
i too left Radiohead very reluctantly to go see the flaming lips.
That turned out to be a brilliant choice,so yes it can be done.

I'm not sure if Glastonbury will have an option to postpone rather than cancelling the festival.
I can see nothing in their terms that refers to a postponement.
.no refunds will be made other than in the event of the cancellation of the Festival. Booking fees and postage and packing charges are non-refundable
I take this to mean they wont be able to offer the chance to keep your ticket for the next festival.
If it is off i think they will have to cancel all tickets

As the title suggest can you recommend just one band /artist that you think others may like and why.
I would suggest My baby.Avalon Friday 5.05. Truth stage 1.10am saturday
I seen them very recently and they really give it everything.
Dance music with guitars.Could be a very big week for them.

I took more tents home than I brought, disposed of more rubbish than I created (by a huge margin, I generated a quarter bin bag of landfill, but cleared up around where I was and got 4 big bags of landfill and 4 of recycled), I encouraged people to pack up and take home abandoned tents and equipment to use for future festivals also, so that probably got a handful of tents re-used. I figure the best I can do is offset some of the selfishness myself, if you care enough about the issue step up and do more, put more in than you take out of everything in life and you leave the world just a tiny, tiny bit better than you found it.
I did pack a least six tents and gave them to the recycle folk in pennards.
I still cant grasp how or why someone thinks its ok to leave a tent and rubbish for others to remove after they have left.
-
Did you stick to it?
Seems to me far to many don't really give a fcuk?
The sight of so many tents left and rubbish strewn across the site left me so disappointed with my fellow revellers.
What can we do to make this better?

I haven't managed to buy a ticket in the last three years from my (rural)home.
got to be down to my internet speed hasn't it?
-
or was it fastest internet connection wins?
not even a glimpse of seetickets website.
