Take packs of pocket tissues, they don't take up much room

I'm convinced that The Charlatans were playing Glasto this year but I can't find them on the website or the clashfinder.
Am I going slightly insane with excitement & making up bands in my head that I think are playing or can someone put my mind at rest.
thanks

Most posts I've read have said there's no queues in or out of the car park for WV, as people are not scrambling for a tent space so the arrivals are staggered.
For us it's the convenience of being able to turn up and head straight to your tent, blow up the mattresses and that's us off to enjoy the festival.
I think you have to accept that there will always be some degree of queuing & think at least you can get a shower and have a little bit a luxury. Coupled with the fact that camping at WV you're not on top of each other, tripping over the tangled web of guy ropes & tent pegs, a quieter environment for sleeping ticks all the boxes for us.
Looking forward to meeting fellow WV neighbours very soon

I can confirm this people. Carol is not only my Bessie with whom I'm coming to Glasto with but also my work buddy who sits opposite me in the office.
Her forumaholicism is a constant disruption to me & my work and very little work has been done over the last few weeks!
Having said that, the threads she finds & reads to me have us laughing out loud, much to the annoyance of others, I'm know for sure.
So lovely people, keep posting & feed Carol's addiction.

Let's agree that we're all equally excited as each other and say no more about it magicg. (biggest excited face).
We're not getting there until about lunchtime on Thursday, so we'll have some catching up to do. We've always got there first thing on Wednesday, previous years, so this will be interesting to see what the traffics like on the Thursday.

Hi Wooderson,
I may have missed something on this thread, you mentioned 'the meet' what's this if you don't mind me asking?
thanks
-
Oh yes please Greenish, please publish if you get hold of a list. I've not long been diagnosed (about 10 weeks) & although I've not found it too hard eating at home, eating out can be tricky.

Thanks Jules62, I'll have a nosey now

Hi,
We're staying in a 2 person yurt at WV this year.... very excited at the thought of not having too far to walk from the car & we can just roll up with our bags & start to enjoy Glasto.
Can anyone tell me roughly where the yurts are pitched, ie, near the loos/showers? far from the entrance? close to the Village Green.
Any info is very much appreciated

Thanks magicg. At least there's showers I don't mind queueing think we'll try & avoid mornings though.

Me & my lovely friend are camping up at Worthy View for the first time, we've always camped in the main fields in previous years, but it's my 40th Birthday this year so we decided on a bit a luxury.
We're on countdown now, alcohol is purchased, sleeping bags ready, lists being made & on weather watch too..... getting more excited by the day!
The advantages of not having to take & set up a tent, being able to park the car a lot closer & the facilities at WV are all plus points for us. The steep hill doesn't really faze us & we'll be making use of the property lock ups this year, something we've never bothered with previously.
So we're just after any tips or advice from fellow WV stayers past & present that will help us enjoy our stay even more.
Who knows we may even bump into you & have a cider & natter.

You must go, you'll regret it if you sit at home & watch the coverage on the TV, seeing everyone having a blast.
Have a look at some other threads, there are a lot of solo glasto peeps who meet up at the site.
What better way to get over your ex than meeting new people & have a great time at the best festival in the WORLD!!!

Hi,
My lovely friend & I are looking for recommendations for a decent box of wine. Over the years our tastes have changed & although we're not snobs but we do like a good bottle of wine. The problem I've found is that it's not often possible to buy a bottle of the wine to try before you commit to the box & we really don't want to be left with a warm bag of vinegar!!
Thanking You

Thank you so mush for posting, this has made my day. I've not longed been diagnosed as coeliac and although I've not found the adjustment too difficult, eating out can be tricky.
I know Glastonbury caters for all tastes, but having not had to worry about this before I've never really taken much notice and ate what I wanted.
This has just added to my excitement and I'm counting down the days now..... Thank you again
Where have The Charlatans gone?
