  1. I enjoyed a rather tasty egg and bacon bap from here on the Sunday, thought it was nicer than a run of the mill effort and thought to myself would go again. The lovely lady serving was looking forward to getting mashed on her only night off that evening! It was located opposite -ish the Cornish arms if my memory is correct.

  2. Had wanted to go and at least have a look at this area,  however as usual ran out of time to do I everything I wanted. Had one of my best ever Glastonburys this year though. Has anyone got any opinions, story's or maybe photos from there so I can see what I missed.

    Cheers

  3. In Chronological order..

    Royal Blood

    K-Pez

    Foo Fighters

    Chic

    London Grammar+Metronomy

Sorry had to cheat a bit, but the last 2 really made for a fantastic festival end.

  4. Just dragging this back to the top because of my fairly weird dream the other night. My Glasto dreams normally revolve around the running late theme

This dream however saw me and the other half sat down on a picnic bench with David Bowie and Juliette Lewis. We were eating ice creams we had just bought. The other half had a cherry chocolate one (think my brain picked that up from alcohol infusions thread). Mr Bowie though was eating an 'Oil Water' flavoured one (wtf), which didn't sound very nice. We were taking the mickey out of him for buying such an odd flavour, saying he had only done it to make himself look more interesting! He was laughing and taking it in good humour.

(Not sure what Juliette was eating!)

    Odd.

  5. In 2010/11 I took my old VW camper towing a Rapido folding caravan. Having enquired before hand, the Glastonbury office stated that as long as it fits in the designated pitch (which I believe is 8x7m) its all good. I had no awnings so  was comfortably within size.

  6. Got 11 in total, my PC which has been successful last 2 years didn't get a look in. The other halfs notepad thing got through for the first 6, although it took 3 goes to process payment using the back key (handy hint from this forum!) The final five were bought on my phone (with vodaphone) it didn't appear to be doing much, then randomly the ticket page just popped up. Managed to get tickets for a work colleague who wanted to surprise her husband as its on his bucket list, so pleased with that.

That first year at Latitude they were meant to be doing the Sunday morning secret slot, with choir and strings. Around a week out the festival decided to pull that slot and give it to Tom Jones (who was already doing the Thursday night secret slot) to do the same set again.

They were quite pissed off and went on with something to prove and it showed...

Ah didnt know that thanks. Latitude must like pissing people off. Badly drawn boy had a major rant towards the organisers whilst on stage last year including saying he couldnt believe he was only getting 5k for the slot. Was most amusing!

  8. We were staying in east campervan fields. My mates brother joined us later on the Wednesday evening after coming on train. After getting coach from station he apparently justed walked through whatever gate he was dropped off near.Just strolled through apparently. At first we didnt believe him but showed us his pass out that he got from gate C! The person checking couldnt believe he just walked straight in and said they couldnt be bothered with hassle of flagging him up to supervisor so just gave him pass out ticket and told him to go! We all went in later on and he got his wrist band then!

  9. Have seen them a couple of times at Latitude and find them constantly a great watch. First time Tim was enjoying it so much he didnt want to get off stage. Think they sneaked in another track or so. In 2014 when they played a day late due to flight issues he was saying that set lists were drawn up according  to whatever event they happened to be playing, i think to fit the mood of the event. I guess they thought 'Sitting down' wasnt a good idea at that point in time!

  10. Can only agree with the comments already made above. A great performer and genuiely seemed happy to be there. l always love the atmosphere in the avalon tent, makes a good performance even more special. His band were great, in particular his backing singers, one of  which held an incredible note for such a time that afterwards she nearly seemed in trouble!

  11. I did first 2 days in wellies, however lack of long socks meant they were slapping round my calfs and gave me ome sort of welly rash. Switched to my walking boots and it was bliss, like putting on a pair of slippers. They coped with the deepest mud and moderate puddles. The main advantage was when walking in mud when you lifted you feet up you knew your footware would still be with you!

  12. The opportunity to see Adele without having to buy a ticket to one of her shows was always going to be a winner, so was looking forward to it. But my word, from the opening with 'Hello' with the stunningly effective  eyes on the screen, the whole set was an incredable experience. This was coupled to the fact i was nearer than i thought i would be.

I was also looking forward to some potty mouth banter, she didnt dissapoint there either!

  13. This has probably been asked a hundred times, but what was the very first set you saw at Glastonbury?

Mine was Bjorn Again, opening the Pyramid in 1999! Haha. Epic sing-along!

Ha! I also had Bjorn Again, but was first act on Pyramid in 2009. It was raining, but at that point in time I didn't care, the smallish crowd were all loving it.

  14. DeadAmos, twas a Rapido Confortmatic 'T' , 2 berth with toilet/washroom compartment. Now sold and sadly missed.

Travis, I don't think I was squashed into a corner for any particular reason, other than somebody decided they had a space to fill. Pretty much luck of the draw I would say. Was dreading being right on the walkway but it provided entertaining people watching, people walking to gate C loaded up. Indeed the Thursday daytime was spent hanging round the camper getting exceedingly drunk! .

  15. I took a VW baywindow and a small folding Caravan in 2010 and 2011. After enquiring with the Glastonbury office people, they said only one campervan pass would be required if everything fitted in the allotted 7x8m pitch.

Space available seems to be luck of the draw, however.

2011 we were squashed onto a muddy corner,

2010 we had plenty of room in glorious sunshine :)
