Wolf woods is horrid.
The picture of the map is a little misleading to be honest, in regards to the pathways through the camping area (great Holmes) in reality there is just one path past the stalls. Last year we entered via the main entrance and headed left away from the arena and it was fine, it wasn't too quite during the day, and at night you didn't have loads divs running around.
It's were we will be camping again this year

I normally take about 300 quid for the weekend,
I've never cooked my own food at the tent, cooking equipment and food is just more stuff to carry to your tent. I've never staying in the bell tents so not sure how far they are from the car park, but normal camping is 30mins plus walk to your tent depending when you arrive.
as for booze usually take about 2 crates and a bottle of summit stronger (remember glass bottles aren't allowed on site at all, so you will need to decant spirits into a plastic bottle), and you can't take your own drinks into the arena area, but with a little clever thinking you can get some in.
But again with the the booze you'll need to carry in all from the car park so I would go to mental,
the only way you'll manage to keep it cold is with a cool box and buying ice daily, again this is a pain in the arse, buy cider, warm cider is 100% better then warm lager.
charging your phone, buy an anker charger from Amazon, it's a big battery that you can charge your phone from, i get about 6 days out of it, but if last year is anything to go by I used hardly any battery as the mobile phone signal was shite and I couldn't log on to Facebook ha
and take a fold up chair, wet wipes, and toilet roll and you'll be fine.

I heard from someone who definitely knows, snoop dog cost in the region of £400k.
Can't see that been right he preformed in middlesbrough last year, and tickets where £30ish

Think it was because we had to wait in line with people going to the emperors area, we queued in the traffic for about 2 hours then we hit the fork in the road, people going to the emperors field took a right, and they had to talk to the stewards a lot long then people going to general camping on the left all we had to do was show our parking ticket. So I'm not sure this is where emperors camping got there wrist band, or it was due to people not pre paying for parking, it was very messy and unorganised

Same as most others I'd guess,
Better pathways in the camping areas in case of bad weather, didn't think the arena was that bad!! Metal tracks wood chips etc
And more people directing traffic on both entering and exiting the site,
-
At what point do you get your wristband when going in general?
Do they deal with this when you're still sitting in your car or do they do it after you have parked and you're entering at the top of the hill?
You get your wristband once parked up and gone through the security search at the top of the hill,

I've registered for the pre sale. I signed up for the payment plan last year and didn't really miss it going out monthly so I think I'll probably get tickets and then sell them on if I'm not keen on the lineup.
I wouldn't bother it was hard work this year, one of our gang split up with his girlfriend and had to sell her ticket (normal ticket weekend and Thursday night) he got hardly any interest and I had to sell them for him on eBay, he got 50 quid for the pair,

Just handing bin bags out to people when getting their wristbands would help a bit. Many are too dim to bring a bin bag with them in the first place so will end up dumping it anywhere as too lazy to find one later.
There was bin bag supplied at every waste point. There are a lot of lazy people out there, that expect every thing handed to them on a plate, but that's a different topic for a different forum,
And I would be lying if I said the thought of leaving my tent didn't cross my mind when I was hungover on Monday morning, but you just get on with it don't you.
However on a brighter note I thought the arena was one of the cleanest areas have ever seen at a festival. And the kids seemed so excited collecting all the emptys, not sure the parents who where following them around felt the same excitement tho

Rocked/sucked
Security,
Rocked- took a bag with booze (4 cans) also had some spirits on my person aswell, every time I went into the arena
Sucked- didn't see any one get a proper search even after the sad events of Thursday evening, had to split two fights up one outside of the shops in and camping area and the security guy just casually walked over, and one in the main arena.
Sucked
Site info
Been told very little on site about what was happing after Thursday night, it was my mam of all people who text me and asked if everyone was ok, I over heard quite a few kids say it's just the "blue pills" that are dangerous?!?!?, I know Kendal put messages on social media, but who checks that at a festival.
Mud
I know it can't be helped at a festival, but when it turns into a bog like it did, you need to get out the wood chips and straw. I felt sorry for anyone with small children or walking difficulties
Campsite layout
It needs the metal/rubber paths down, people then know where to pitch up too, you would properly be able to get more tents in, and don't produce a site layout with paths running through the camping fields and then just end up with 1 massive free for all where I end up next to a group of little doyles it will take me some time to get over the hatred for any one called, Joe, Josh, or Joal, oh and the lighting could be better.
16 to 22 year olds
Far to many of them, however I never seen that many in the arena
Bulmers
Why have a bulmers arena, and then only sell 2 flavours.
No draught larger/cider
Toilets Sunday night and Monday,
Lanyard
It was a pain seeing who was on at what time on what stage. It would be a lot better if it was all on one page bit like a clash finder
All in all a great weekend
