This year felt like a bit of a tipping point towards V Fest/T in the Park. Maybe I was just unlucky, maybe it was just a one off because the Courteeners were there. But the last 3 times I've gotten my tickets as soon as they're available, this year I'm really not that fussed, I'll see what happens.

Nile Rogers and Chic
The Smiths Ltd
Jurrasic 5's Soup Presents: The Fullee Love Collective (They were on in the Chai Wallah Thursday, I had no idea what to expect and enjoyed the hell out of it)

That's 3 times in 6 years now (14, 17, 19) it's been a mud bath. I understand the argument that you can't control the weather, especially in that part of the country; but when there's woodchip getting put down, but the entrances and path through to Emperor's Fields were an absolute joke, I saw a kid falling over there every time I went through.
I wonder if a complete re-think of the site is in order, as it's grown in size it's basically just had extra bits bolted on, whether that's to the arena or the campsite and it's starting to show.

There's going to be some awfully red people on Friday

Only went to T on the Saturday in 2012.
Horrific.
I got sunburnt on the Friday believe it or not...

As above, I'd say Great Holmes is best to go, although when I was in normal camping a couple years back it was quite full by 12:00 Thursday, so if you haven't got a Thursday ticket you might struggle to find a spot there. I would definitely stay clear from Wolf Woods though (Nearest to the arena).
I'd recommend trying some of the real ale tent drinks rather than the main bars, they tend to be a bit cheaper and it's not all ale.
Woodlands is always good to have a look through, best time is usually if there's a headliner you're not particularly bothered about as it's quieter.

When was the really bad year ? Sorry the really really bad year. My tent broke on Saturday and we had to drive off Sunday night as I had the kids that year and they weren’t strong swimmers.
I’m bringing the wellies.
2014 (Frank Turner) was the year a river started to form down the main stage, if that's what you're thinking? It was pretty bad, but I had been to T in the Park in 2012 (Look that up) so that was lovely in comparison.

Most sites seem to be saying the same temperatures: Hot Thursday, Warm Friday, Cooler Saturday and Sunday. None of them agree when we're getting rain though.

Ghandi's will not be there this year!
Have they confirmed that? They're advertised on the website

Same here ?
I looked on bbc today and it’s too good to be true. Perfect in fact?
Im forgetting all about it until Countryfile on Sunday.
It will rain.
To the best of my knowledge, Frank Turner isn't there, so that's something

Yeah, I know how inaccurate it all is past 5 days but I can't help it.
I've also been to around 10 festivals and it's rained and I've gotten sunburnt at every one, so I should really know what to expect by now.

Every year I say don't bother looking until the week of, as it always changes so much, yet, every year I end up checking early.
They're all saying something different at the minute, but TheWeatheroutlook has 29 degrees on the Thursday, so let's go with that.

Link to the pack from last year is here, there's a map on page 17.
I got my email for that the Saturday before last year, so you should receive something similar this weekend.

people must spend a lot of time at festivals sat by their tent drinking beer, judging by the amount mentioned on here.
Depends how early you want to start really.

I've never had any issue with too much alcohol at any festival. If it's an obscene amount you'd probably have to make 2 trips anyway, so they wouldn't be bothered by that.
I took around 40 330ml cans last year, and will be taking about the same this time.

Apparently there's a Blood Moon Eclipse on Friday night too (Which isn't a bad name for a band tbh)

Prefer him to be honest

Actually....if you look at the map there are 2 Glow tents....one near Calling Out and one in the Valley of Beats
Yeah, can't help but think that's an error. The Jagerhouse is still on the map too, and I'm sure that isn't there this year either
-
Just tweeted out a sitemap for this year , quite a bit different to other years
-
I use Metoffice most of the time, and it's fairly accurate but only goes to 7 days. Reporting 22 and dry for Thursday

I’ve no idea what i’m Going to do on Saturday. My daughter wants to see Lucy Spraggan so it will involve that at some stage but likely an early dart to Tim Peaks or a wander around Woodlands.
Anyone been to Tim Peaks when the headliners are on before? Whenever I want to go people are queuing out the door, but might be decent time to go then

There are certain things you can't control, but when the main stage is located at the bottom of that hill with that amount of foot traffic, it shouldn't really be a surprise that they had to section part of it off on Sunday.
Similar with the other side, you have a valley with toilets on the way down to that side and a similar amount of traffic coming in and out of Emperor's fields, so it ends up a bogg where mud is the least of your worries. I felt bad for the traders down that side, they probably ended up losing money because nobody would go anywhere near it on the Saturday and Sunday unless they had to.
