As far as smuggling goes, it only takes one member of the KC staff to read this forum

I used empty sun cream bottles filled with spirits at Reading last year. Worked a treat
I'm sure security won't be suspicious if you've got a load of sun cream bottles in your bag

It's definitely not a ghost town aha, there are parties that go on through the night in most of the camps. If anything, you'll struggle to sleep! And as for the balance between people, no matter what drugs they're on, everyone is there to have a good time and you will

Hi , speaking hypothetically here, I was wondering as I'm going to Kendal calling this year (Cant wait for it !) how likely am I to be searched / bag searched . Me and a group of friends are going (all 16 years old) and where wondering how likely it would be to get us and our bag searched ?
Just in case one of them decides to bring a few beers
Thanks In advance !
Like the other guy said, you'll probably get searched if they believe you might have booze. But if it's well concealed you might get through. Festival security don't have time to search every person or people would be queuing all weekend

lol crazy kids peaking too early.
I find that funny when you see the inexperienced guys getting hammered early & by the end they look like hell.
makes me feel good about myself when I see someone worse than me
People do start drinking pretty early i guess

Just a short video of a guy we saw on the first day at kendal calling last year. It was just before 8pm and this guy was on god knows what. I don't know if any of you saw him but he was hilarious to watch. Just after i stopped recording, he started pissing on someone's tent, then a girl came out and screamed Then security finally came and there was a wild chase across the field

So I've just seen that kendal are on their last batch of ticket sales. When do you think they will completely sell out? Me and my friends weren't planning on purchasing until a month or two because of the cost. But they are looking likely to sell out sooner than we thought, and the deposit scheme means paying more than paying outright doesn't it?

Am i the only person who didnt think it was that bad?
Spent the whole weekend in shorts, tshirt and flip flops
I can see how families with young kids could of struggles and those with poor mobility but ive seen worse at other festivals before
There's no way you were walking around in flip flips, the mud was way above ankle level

I've been for the last five years and it has rained at some point every year. (Well it is in the lakes).
2011 had the best weather. 2012 was a wet summer and there was a fair bit of rain over the weekend but last year was the only time it spoiled the weekend for me. My Mrs also has arthritis so found it hard going plus she doesn't like getting wet. I haven't managed to persuade her to go this year yet.
I went in 2012 and apart from the rain on sunday night, I thought it was pretty good (i got sunburn by saturday). I have a feeling this years weather will definitely be better though, it can't get any worse than last year!

What did you guys think of the weather last year? was it the worst yet? I saw quite a few people leave by sunday
