  1. Hi,

Just wondering if anyone had experience of this. I have booked a 9am national express coach back from the site to Manchester on the Monday. Got the coach back most years so far and never missed it, but just wondering if anyone knew what happens if you miss your return coach? Are they usually able to fit you in later? Do you need to pay for a new ticket?

It usually seems like a bit of a free for all getting on the coaches and obviously national express are under no obligation to honour anything if I miss my coach. No intentions of missing it but just wondered if anyone knew what usually happen?

  2. Oh we have the porch which gives us a bit of extra space for 12 pairs of dirty boots!!

When we went it was erected already in the shop so we had a little trial lie down. It's double skinned with a central living bit and sleeping sections at the end. Might be a bit tight for the 2 nights we have 12 people but it is 10 most nights and knowing a few if my friends they will be sleeping as the rest are getting up.

11.5msq for one person sounds a lot! I guess if we're stuck for space we know where to head ;-)

  3. 7.1x4m. Which is actually smaller than the space 4-5 3-4 man tents would take. There'll be 12 of us I. Total in there, although only 3 of us on the Wednesday night so our neighbours might think we're taking the piss at first!!

  4. Yeah we're prepared to accept being a bit further out. Handily it comes in 3 bags so actually not too bad to carry. And actually I think it takes up less room than the 4-5 smaller tents we'd need for the same number of people, we just don't have the advantage of being able to set the tents up in a bit of an odd layout and need a good square of space

  5. Hi,

I was just wanting a bit of reassurance / advice from the collective minds on here. This will be my 7th Glastonbury (I don't know what I'll do when I fail to get a ticket!) but I;m going with a bigger group this time. I usually arrive on the Wednesday lunchtime - early evening and set up camp with 2-4 small tents in Oxylers (love being opposite the Other Stage, near the dance village and railway track and of course some good toilets) and never really had any bother getting a space.

This year we have one large 10 man tent which measures about 4x7m but I'll be arriving on coach at 9.30 on the Wednesday. I know it completely depends on where people choose to camp but do seasoned festivalers reckon we'd have a chance of getting a space around Oxylers again? Our back up is to try Dairy Ground but never camped there so not sure how busy it generally gets.

Any tips for a huge tent much appreciated!

oh and 20 days to go!!
