I might be being a bit naive here but has Foster the People had any other songs that have been anywhere near as popular as Pumped up kicks? I don't listen to radio, so I may have missed something but I kind of had them in the same boat as Gotye.
Someone already mentioned it a while back but the guy from Whitest Boy Alive, Erlend Øye is playing at Superbock. He plays in Norway quite a bit so I have seen him a few times and he puts on a really good show.
maybe not as big but songs just as good, they got 5 singles off their first album and each single did well. Their new album is really good as well so wouldn't put them in the same category as gotye who was a bit shit to begin with in my opinion. Foster put on a great live performance as well.

I think with a few more decent bands this could be made a good line up and i don't even mean headliners. How big are we expecting these new bands to be? Because surely it wouldn't take them this long to book a few small spanish bands, or would it? I would like to think we might have a few acts maybe around the same size as tame impala to come yet
would like to see The Horrors, Peace and around 5/6 more bands that sorta size and genre, think foster the people would be a class addition and would definitely make the line up look more appealing but think maybe they're just a bit too big

In my opinion, apart from the libertines, charlatans are benicassim's best booking. There's no point whinging about when the lineup will be announced anymore, its gunna happen and if it doesn't then you can all be pissed off. Being to eager for the announcement is just going to leave you disappointed when its spanish and small bands.

does the definitely mean tinie tempah is headlining? I guess if there not in talks with any headliners at the moment its probably too late, there english translation is so shit I'd do it for them for free. Still do not understand why tinie tempah is headlining, a co headline between The Charlatans and Manic Street Preachers would be the equivalent/bigger than last years Primal Scream and Beady Eye in my opinion

tinie tempah is not headlining, an ad has just appeared at the top of the screen which only has kasabian and libertines in bold text, another smaller one appeared at the bottom of the screen that didn't even mention tinie tempah. That enough proof Laurie?

too many people on here can't take an opinion or cant give an opinion without coming across like a dick, the only sane people appear to have ex footballers for their usernames.
When do we reckon the next announcement will be, surely they can't go into june, a month before the festival, without a full lineup.

yeah fair enough im just completely bewildered as to how he could be headlining beni when half the acts on the lineup are bigger than him

again im probably wrong as per usual on here but anyone think that maybe theyve only released the second stage so far for the thursday which tinie could be headlining, just a thought as they have hardly any names on that day compared to the others

the only website im gunna half trust is clash magazine who are an official partner of benicassim doing the youtube highlights, interviews etc for them, in their article they didnt mention paolo or tinie being headliners, just that the libertines are the second headliner announced, until benicassim actually announce that tinie and paolo are headlining i'm sure they must at least be attempting to getter at least 1 let alone 2 headliners, how hard can it even be to get someone like Calvin Harris?

it looks like all these websites are saying they are the headliners as that what everyone else is saying and what it looks like, until benicassim actually announce it I guess there is hope but the only headliner i can really see changing is tinie tempah

I'd take that at this moment, just as long as its a headline announcement! A few people we're commenting libertines on facebook other day and a guy put Libertines 12:00 on Tuesday so 11 over here.. im hoping they know something!

The Vaccines and Two Door gigs weren't £15 either
two door one deffo was I got a pair as soon as they were released unless it went more expensive later on, tbh whatever i post on this forum it seems to be wrong so you're probably right haha

O2 has a capacity of 20,000.
Oh shit haha for some reason I thought wembley was more, ah well point is I would of though they were just as popular as The Vaccines

im from down south and don't reckon courteeners could sell out wembley unless they had really cheap tickets and decent support acts, though saying they could probably do the O2, Vaccines and Two Door Cinema Club have both done it, tickets were £15 and had decent support acts as far as I remember they both sold out fairly quick so could see Courteeners doing O2. When I saw Courteeners at Reading 2012 there was hardly anyone there, even though foster the people were on after which packed out the place they really didn't pull in a strong crowd

I agree with both points about the kooks. Firstly if you're gunna talk about Lily Allen having No.1 albums, The Kooks have had a number 2 and a number 1 album. The Kooks are a really decent band and would but on a great show subbing but tbh they won't in reality most people do only know them for those two songs (saying that I could probably only name you about 3 Lily Allen songs) although people who like the Kooks will know they've got a load of decent tracks to sing a long to, I personally just don't think enough people would know enough for them to deserve a sub headline spot, also they really haven't been relevant since 2008 as there last album was a flop which is another obvious reason for them not to sub. Looking at the Reading lineup which is just a bit of a bigger festival than benicassim The Kooks are 4th down on the second stage, a stage which courteeners are headlining, so I don't see any reason why they should be above courteeners in the beni lineup. Also Jake Bugg is subbing Reading likewise with beni it would appear, I could never see The Kooks subbing Reading at this point alongside the huge names they have

tbh we've waited so long now to the point where I'm not even fussed waiting for the lineup, in reality they are gunna announce it all at some point in May so it will be some point in the next 2 weeks or so which is fine by me as long as we get it! If it hasn't been announced by June then the headliners are looking to be Kasabian, Chase and Status, Paul Weller and Lily Allen

Someone said on the old forum that The Enemy wouldn't play as they are exclusive to The Libertines hyde park gig, however they've just been announced for Rapha Tempest fest. Reckon they are in with a shout for playing.
