No...it's due to the mouth-cup-tap-cup-mouth infection transmission risk.  That's why originally the metal cup scheme was going to be on an exchange basis...with a new clean one every time.

It is possible to pour a pint without having to put the nozzle in the glass especially rough cider straight from a barrel.

  2. Friend went to bar and asked them to pour direct into their measured metal pint cup. Bar refused and gave it to them in the cardboard cup. Assumption is it’s due to advertising - guessing Mallets pay a lot for people to see their brand on the cups.

i think the weather influenced how clean the site is this year. Tents will genuinely remain in a decent conditions and few ruined due to mud/rain.

  3. Stop off at a local cider farm and buy a big bag/box of rough cider (35ish pints and about £30 - £40). So handy between a few people carrying just one big bag of cider rather than a load of cans. Everyone keeps asking where they can buy them from on site!

Not sure why there is negativity towards wellies! Invested in a cracking pair a few years ago; definitely the best purchase I have made for Glastonbury. I now don’t take boots/trainers, just flip flops/wellies and only shorts!

  4. I had a site wide wristband but also needed individual stage lanyard passes or another wristband to get into backstage areas. I needed to get to every backstage area and it was a frigging pain having numerous passes around my neck and 3/4 wristbands!

From memory AAA will get you into dressing rooms and on stage of pyramid and other.

The only backstage area worth going to was West Holts which had a busy bar.
