At the longdrops on the railway track next to the Other Stage someone shouted "it fucking stinks!" To which, someone replied "I can't smell anything. My nose is full of coke!"

I've stayed with my parents in the Spring camping ground a few times (they've been there every year for the past 10 years or so). Fantastic facilities. I don't agree with the above poster who suggests that none dark-green wristbanders are disrespectful for using the showers. I was one of those people and I always waited until midday and no one was waiting. It's fantastic to be able to shower at Glasto!
I wish they would open a disabled camp site up near the Green Fields. My parents love to spend most of their time up there and then end up having to fight through the melee after headliners have finished. That would be my only suggestion really. . .

I think I'm finally starting to accept that I won't be going.
Even when I missed out again in the second resale, i figured there would be another one. I've entered every competition going and just been a whole lot of denial.
Even more depressingly I've taken on some work up north, and I'm travelling up tommorow morning, which means I'm going to be taking about 90% of the route I would be if I was on my way to Glasto... and I'm just going to have to carry on up.
Thinking about it, I'm half tempted to chuck a tent and sleeping bag in my car boot, just in case it get's too me too much, and I stop off to attempt a bit of fence jumping! haha.
Have fun guys
I know exactly how you feel man! I lost out last year and it was horrible. I refused to watch any of on T.V. But another year will come and then you can be at peace again. . .

I found squatting difficult on the trains in India. Even though they have 'Western Style Toilets,' they were often rammed with smoking natives (it's illegal and finable to smoke on trains or in the vicinity of the stations) as they were bigger, therefore fitting more people in, and to avoid the conductors and their fines. The squatting loos were simply a hole cut out so you can see the tracks whistling by. Whilst squatting for a number 2, a stone flew up the hole - I'm guessing it was knocked by one of the train wheels - and hit me on the bum. As you can probably imagine, this caused me to jump and some of my poo that I was halfway through landed on my heel and went in my sandals. Add in the extreme heat, the lack of air-conditioning, a dodgey stomach from a couple of months traveling, the endless mosquitoes and the juddering movements of the train, it all made for a pretty traumatic experience. . .
Glastonbury is positively tame in comparison.

I reckon he still has a wry smile for the inventive gatecrasher of today and would love to think that at some point he has read the Twix story.
What's the 'Twix story'??

Is he Northern? And of a species closely related to gorillas?
If we're playing to stereotypes, I would suggest that this thuggish brute would much more likely be southern. . .
Us northern folk are friendly people!

Damian Marley would be awesome

It will never happen choice: William Onyeabor
Slightly more chance but still probably won't happen choice: Pulp
I'd like it to be out of feasible possibilities choice: Prodigy
What I hope won't happen choice: Coldplay

For me it's waking up in the morning after a heavy night in a sauna-like tent with no water, dying of thirst and finding a mile long queue for the water taps. Similar experience when you're busting for a piss in the morning too. . .

This is just making me more excited. . . .

No idea if this has been posted before but here's a good deal on Amazon with a pack that includes two torches and a headlamp for only £4.99!

Madness in Lost Vagueness in 2005. On at the same time as the Killers. The mud was so thick. I remember it being a real struggle getting anywhere. Some great memories. . .

To be totally honest, I was pretty disappointed with the Acoustic Stage line-up. Usually there are some stand-out acts for me there but not this year for me.
I kind of wish too that Alabama Shakes were on a smaller stage, although they thoroughly deserve to be playing on the Pyramid. . .

I spoke to Luke Concannon from Nizlopi at their gig in Newcastle on the 6th and he told me they were playing Crossaint Néuf on the Saturday!
I'm really pleased about that. Fantastic live band!

I Voted Conservative
So what you all going to do about it
I'll just leave you with this:
"No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party. So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin."- Aneurin BevanPersonally I quite liked the suggestion of a friend of mine who said that everyone who voted Tory or Ukip should be refused treatment on the NHS. . . -
Shangri La won't have to do anything for this year's theme of a 'Political Hell'

Labour are only good for dossers who don't wanna work hard and just wan't to sit around getting free money
You're exactly what's wrong with this country. . .

With the devastating news about the election, I hope Glastonbury lightens the mood before moving abroad.
Tory Scum!
Anyone with me?

Gutted. Second year running we've missed out on tickets. Whilst I've been to my fair share of Glastos, I was wanting to a get a couple more in with my folks before it's too much for them to go again :-/
