We were looking for a Thursday ticket and as a last resort was going to go with the train/Thursday ticket. 80 quid a bit harsh but not the end if the world if your only getting 1
-
I'm such a goon, didn't get Thursday tickets AGAIN but unlike last year the buggers have sold out.
If anybody has any they're selling please let me know.
I don't even like James but th'usband does
-
The best way is to just to go in the arena at the back of a group of drunken young lads as they are far too busy frisking them to bother about a mum and her suspiciously ginormous handbag
-
Some of our group went to get out as needed to get some wellies and find a bank. They would only give a pass to two out of the four that wanted to go, the woman was a right cow as well! I think the constant peeing down with rain must have made her grumpy.
-
Can't wait can't wait can't wait! It's going to be warm and sunshiny and everything!
I think.
-
Thank you! I even emailed ticketline and they said no I couldn't buy any now, I'm just going to say my prayers every night now for decent weather ,
-
Yeah with ticketline. My payment date is set for the day before I get paid so every month I have to ask them to retake it. I feel like I know all the staff personally now!
-
Your a star thanks! Although that's my excuse to ask our friends to put our tent up for us on Thursday gone!
-
Sorry for starting another thread but I didn't get round to buying tickets for Thursday and now it's all sold. If anyone with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a child ticket for Thursday can't make it I will gladly buy. Slim chance but ya never know!

feel like i have been paying for this festival for years now - next year think i'll just shell out in one go! not long thooooooo yayyy!
-
well thats good news for you gorfield - why is it tho every post i've read of yours in my head I do the voice from eeyore the donkey in winnie the pooh.
cheer up boyyo!

And it's only three days anyway, would rather be in family/General with the rest of my group seeing as I've been hassling them for three months to get tickets!
-
Thanks for that, very helpful! If we go in general/family would we still get access to emporers? Or would it just not be worth the hassle and walk just for a hot shower?! We're also what I would describe as a party family (although takes three days to recover now!) either way sure it will be brill!
Might just flog the two adults emps. that we have then.
-
Can't wait now! Shame I've booked emperor tho and the family I've convinced to come as long could only get general camping - I'm sure I can give up hot showers though x
-
Well not exactly pulp but holy moly I'm happy with suede!!!!
-
Well to be honest it would need to be a greatest hits medley for pulp. Would take me back to mine and hubbies "hours in the car going to buy crap from ikea" days when we first started living together
-
I know it's not going to happen but please let pulp be there.
-
Yeah pretty much imagine that they would ha! Although as it's fairly self contained I'm hoping to let them if the leash anyway. Booked tickets now so can't wait - been checking out porta bogs already!!
-
Thanks for the replies and your advice it sounds perfect! Can't wait to get the tickets now - I'm planning on taking a tent for us two and the toddler and a second small 2 man for the teenagers to sleep in - would this be seen as being greedy on the space? Aaaaand one more thing - campfires (in the evening obviously) I know they aren't allowed but do staff go round extinguishing them like they do in some places. I've seen some garden fire pits on eBay made out of washing machine drums for like a tenner so would seem ideal!

Hi!
new to this site and after years of wanting to go to a festival but other things getting in the way decided on kendal calling to coincide with the daughters 16th birthday.
So just wanted to pick at your experience - we will be taking two 16 year olds and a 4 year old - we were thinking emperor field but i didnt want the camping to be too hushed ie boring but didnt want drunken fellas peeing next to my tent into the small hours.
Anyone on here taken small children and do yo have any tips?
thank you anyone that can offer anything!
Not got any glasto envy - just looking forward to kendal!

Getting excited now - last years atrocious weather is but a distant memory!
