I'm glad Neil told us 7:45 to save us all watching that all of that video which has now ended with no lineup announcement, wouldn't have been a good reaction in here. This has been such an awful way to announce it though, dropping the lineup at 5 when we first expected it would have worked well but this has just dragged out too long and done them no favours.
I get what they were trying to do by building hype with the guessing game aspect but they should have just dropped hints throughout the day, such as actually having that wall of text spell out band names or at least a decent chunk of lyrics of acts performing and then filling in a few blank letters every hour or so before a full reveal at 5

Foo Fighters seem to be slowly announcing dates on their website for Europe, wonder if they're being forced to wait until they announce the UK dates

I understand why they have a DJ on the Saturday night as it's where a lot of the biggest names are right now, but it was a much easier sell to most people with the 1am late license and the idea of 2 headliners that night (I know some will say Paolo isn't big enough but that isn't the point) the concept was great as you'd still get your standard headliner then a DJ who was too big of a name for the R1 stage.
The main issue now is that the pool of DJs big enough is quite small, especially since it has to be the tier above Guetta and Alesso since they've already proven he's not big enough by having him on R1 last year, the only ones left I can think of are:
Calvin (every other year anyway)
Daft Punk (never going to happen)
Avicii (retiring)
Swedish House Mafia (I don't think they are coming back next year, but it would be a massive booking)
and then there's a few borderline who could be either R1 or headline main:
Martin Garrix
Axwell /\ Ingrosso
Tiesto
Hardwell (I'm not sure how big he is outside of the major dance festivals though)
Pendulum (if they do a tour now they've performed together again)
Personally I'm expecting it to be Main: The Killers/ Martin Garrix/ Florence (if they're still touring, otherwise I wouldn't be surprised to see someone new get bumped up)
R1: Deadmau5/ A guitar act such as Catfish/Royal Blood/ Axwell /\ Ingrosso

Haven't been able to prebook parking for a while, think it was £20 a day or £30 for the full weekend last year
-
Given that the days were slightly wrong on the other poster could it be Calvin and Tiesto on the Sat to recreate the greater than tour? It would then bump Bastille down slightly as well

Might have misheard on the radio, but I think it was mentioned that they'd take over from 7pm (or at least that's when they'd send it live on the radio) they'll probably just set up the screens and lasers on the radio 1 stage for then, and have each act on one after enough with very small or no intermissions

That's the T Twitter just retweeted someone mentioning Tiesto without ever confirming him.
They did one that mentioned Alesso as well earlier

Im thinking Major Lazer (touring to the death and doing loads of headline slots) + Jack U much more likely of the two.
Is it too extreme to think that they could dedicate the radio 1 stage for most of Friday/Sunday night and just have diplo, major lazer, skrillex then jack u one after another?
I also think they'll book Afrojack again, he seemed to go down well and never technically got to finish his set

The Killers
Florence/Calvin
Foo Fighters
unlikely but given how common Calvin and The Killers are I reckon at least one of them will be there
-
Fatboy slim was full were I was standing and at some points felt a bit over capacity, although some people walked out near me they were soon replaced.
In terms of DJ headliners, the fact that Guetta is on the radio 1 stage means that there's only a few acts in the tier above him in terms of popularity that would headline (not necessarily a popular opinion here, but the chart sales don't lie) the only ones I can think of are Calvin, Daft Punk, Avicii, Tiesto and Hardwell (but I don't know how popular the last 2 are in terms of your average radio 1 listener) Daft Punk is sadly very unlikely, and I doubt Avicii will be booked 2 years in a row. Honestly I reckon Calvin will come top in the survey and I wouldn't be entirely surprised with Calvin and Taylor Swift as the Saturday headliners
Edit: Also just had a look at that survey and think its interesting they don't have Florence and the Machine on the headliner list

surely this pay to park every time you leave thing cant apply to weekend no camping tickets, £60 just to park is stupid money
-
Looks like deadmau5 was approached for T this year, at least according to his twitter anyway, might mean Guetta was a backup, hopefully he'll be there next year anyway
-
Wait, flags are banned?
pretty sure it said that last year, there were still loads about

The loss of the slam tent is no biggie anyways

I never went and saw her I was in tuts at the time but after Minaj's actions last time round I hope DF just never book her again.
I was there waiting for SHM, it was mad, loads of people waiting for her and when she eventually came out all the fed up boyfriends that had been dragged along kept booing her, not even an apology for being 40 mins late.
After the rumours of big weekend and her pulling out of V at the last minute in the same year, I'll be surprised if she's at any of the major festivals again
-
If Fatboy Slim isn't before Guetta I think Martin Garrix could easily play there, unless they wanted a guitar band to go up against Sam Smith (provided he is subbing Kasabian)
-
Any reason why the Wikipedia page for T mentions Two Door Cinema Club.... Not that I trust wikipedia that much to be honest...
I saw that as well, it also says Travis who I haven't seen on any of the posters, wonder where that's come from
-
I think it may be fake, it says plus more to be announced under each day and they normally just put that at the bottom, theres also no mention of the normal sponsors like pepsi at the bottom
although maybe I'm just clutching at straws hoping it isn't real
-
pretty much, deadmau5 up right took the piss out of garrix at last years ultra festival
As far as I remember Deadmau5 said he hates that everyone plays animals, but he actually likes Garrix
so I'd assume there wouldn't be an issue if they were to play on the same day
-
Main
Libertines/The Script
Mumfords/Florence
Kasabian/Noel G
R1
Deadmau5/Martin Garrix
Prodigy/Courteeners
Axwell/\Ingrosso/Alesso
-
Deadmau5 for a likely r1 headliner? He's in Europe for both June and August
-
I might just be completely out of the loop, but have they actually been relevant recently as I'm surprised they're considered big enough to headline these days
-
I'm surprised they haven't given an announcement date, especially now they've felt the need to say that poster is fake
-
The excuse of working on the new site seems a bit odd, surely act booking is a different department to site management?

Does the Pete Tong show have a lot of lighting effects that need the dark to really have an effect? I just struggle to see it being a high slot, although it has sold out loads of arena shows.
I wonder if it's similar to when Chic played a few years ago where they were billed highly as special guests but played late afternoon, they'd have to be high on the poster to show the day split for them as well since it was already announced in the video that was released last week
