The T forum had become rather shite latterly but to be honest I dont really look at it much these days. I posted on the General Chat forum but arguements between the usual suspects bored me away from that too. Its not only the T forum that went downhill.
Anyways, onwards to pastures new. Where?

Your wish will be coming true if you don't suddenly grow some balls.
-
As you've just so eloquently pointed out .... you don't know shit, but you think you know it all.
Mummy's calling for you for your tea I think. You'd better run, else she'll be sending you to bed early.
Just grow up, eh?

I've been a member/poster here for a number of years and Neil has done some dickish things in the past but has truly excelled himself with this one.
As Ive pointed out a number of times, he doesn't like the Scots much and this really doesn't surprise me. Well................it does...............

Who needs to hope that Murray loses? He does it anyway.
Yet another great British hope.
That means a terminal failure.
-
Gonna buy that. I'm bound to improve. Any tips please pass them on.

Can you get Bejewelled on the iphone/touch? Nice one, off in search!! Even though Im extremely bad at it!
-
O/T but no problems for me if Button wins Sports Personality.
-
Murray actually didnt play too badly apart from the third set. Fpr most of the game he kept the ball deep into Gonzalez's backhand. Unfortunately the Chilean was on fire and hit some mammoth shots and managed to run round his backhand.
If someone is hitting bombs like that all match then there's not much you can do about it. Even Nadal or Federer don't have that speed on their forehand.
Surprised to see Daveydenko lose yesterday, thought he'd be a nap to beat Soderling.
-
Squeaky bum time for Federer today as Haas took him to five sets. Still a long way to go for Andy to win in France as there's a lot of class clay courters left. I still think Rodge will do it - he won't have a better shot at winning Roland Garros than this year.
-
Why not?! Hell I may even go one better than Paula and curl out a No.2
I thought she did anyways!!
My bladder always plays up when Im running. I was on the treadmill in the gym last night for 20 minutes and had to get off for a pee. Worried about doing a city 10K and having nowhere to go.
-
How is your half training going? What's the course like? Flat? Hilly?
I have entered the Great South Run, so Paula Radcliffe better watch out
You plan on squatting by the roadside too?
-
Went to the gym to run on the treadmill they've had for a week since its snow central here. Stupid thing was broke so no running this week.

Yup, you get 2 bits, one is a receiver and plugs in your nano, then the other bit in your shoe! It records your distance and pace and how many calories you've burned, you can set specific workout play lists etc, and when you plug in your ipod to comp it uploads all your info to nike website so you can track your progress etc and take part in online challenges and stuff.
So, would this kit work for only £5.39?

Aye I've got the old nano, the one that's aluminium on the back. You can get a wee pouch to attach to your shoes, bout a fiver on eBay I think.
I didn't actually realise til I put my trainers on the other day that I have nike+ shoes so I didn't need to bother with the pouch!
What, you stick the iPod nano in your pocket and a sensor on your shoe? Sorry if Im being extra stoopid here, I just dont know how they work.
-
I got the nike thing for my ipod at the weekend. Its on sale at £6 on Argos website if anyone else is interested!
Today after my run Paula radcliffe came on and said well done on burning lots of calories, she gave me a bit of a fright!
Ive got the older Ipod Nano - not the tiny wee one. Will this work with the Nike kit from Argos?
And do you need the shoes? You cant just whack it in yer pocket?

The better player on the day did win... Andy was very sloppy....
-
Was up half the night watching this one. Just never got up to his usual standards and Verdasco played out of this world. Apparently Andy missed a practise session before the match as he was in bed ill. In his post match interview he didn't use this as an excuse, just said the better player won.
Oh well, onwards and upwards.....

Entered the Edinburgh 10K in may as a motivation to get back out running again which I was doing last year. It does bore me a bit but good for keeping you trim. I was thinking aboutthe Glasgow half marathon but dont know if I could be arsed training for that. Seems like hard work to me!!
-
Well, on boxing day i went out and ran 10m. Which was my furthest distance to date but only by half a mile, plus I ran it much slower. Nothing out of the ordinary to the run, cooled down/stretched as usual afterwards, finished feeling great and still full of energy and could have gone further but was trying to stick to the training plan like glue to reduce the risk of injury....
About 5 hours later my right foot starts hurting. Almost 2 weeks on it's no better. Can vaguely walk on it but it's painful - am not even attempting running on it. Have seen a totally unsympathetic doc and had an x-ray and they suspect it might be a stress fracture but he basically told me to go away and come back in 2 weeks if it's not better.
I can spare a couple of weeks of rest but any more and I'll almost definitely have to pull out of the marathon. And at the moment it feels like it's NEVER going to get better. Gutted
Aw nightmare - thats a shocker. Hope the foot gets better soon.
I signed up for the Edinburgh 10K yesterday. Might also do the Glasgow half marathon later in the year.
-
My legs ache but I care not a jot. After doing no training for 5 weeks, I went into yesterday's Maidstone half marathon without knowing if i'd finish let alone do a good time. Somewhere I managed to beat my PB by three minutes and get under 2hrs for the first time.
Needless to say, I'm quite happy!
Congrats. I bet the legs still hurt today.
-
I recently took 3 minutes off my 10K time so its time to step up to a half marathon next year!!
What can you do a 10K in?
-
Am doing Maidstone half marathon on Sunday. Not looking forward to it as have been suffering from a bad back which has somewhat disrupted my training.
Hey ho.
I feel your pain. Twisted my back during a tennis match on Saturday and Ive been necking Ibuprofen since. Would hate to think about running any distance at the moment. Hope it goes okay.

Fair play...
It does annoy me when Scots and irish get all uppity about the English though.
Wellington was a Mick, most of the muscle and hell of a lot of the brains of the British Empire (Adam Smith being a good example) were either Scots, Welsh or Irish , and Burns was a tax collector for the British empire...
Yet, for some reason it's always the English that seem to get it in the neck...
I know Murray didn't mean it. But he should remember, that without the English, there would even be tennis.
