  1. I took my daughter (10) and son (14).. the family field was full when we arrived.. after a tortuous walk round the site we ended up on the other family field (behind John Peel/hospitality camping) and it was virtually empty, and remained so all weekend.. to the extent that you could easily have had a game of football if you were that way inclined

  2. So so so excited - was really stressed this morning after the long wait from failed attempts for tickets in October, so grateful to a friend who got the booking page and tickets for me. :D

Will appreciate this Glastonbury even more! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  3. Same thing has happened to me today. Got a called from Lloyds saying that they are checking with me for fraudulent activity. Seetickets had tried to take £250 out of my account 4 times over the course of Sunday, Monday and Today. But for some reason Lloyds blocked the original transaction deeming it 'suspicious' and consequesntly blocked it and only contacted me today!! Kicked off especially when she said it's fine now and just try and buy tickets again...do these people not understand!

Anyway called seetickets (few times as the 1st time the guy didn't seem to know what planet he was on, 2nd time I got through to a guy who was on his 2nd shift) and spoke to a girl who seemed to know what she was on about and informed me that they will continue to keep trying and after trying several times if it doesn't successfully go through it will get declined and they will automatically get in touch to try and take payment using another card. I was assured my tickets were fine and wouldn't be re-sold.

Since called bank again to make sure the block is definately off and now just have to sit tight and wait for it to hopefully go through.

If you're calling seetickets and not happy with the level of advice you're being given I'd just try again as you will most likely get someone who has a clearer understanding of the situation.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Message now on www.seetickets/g2010

IMPORTANT! If your registration number appears as 'used' then you have a booking. There is a delay in sending out confirmation emails. We have sent approximately 50% with more being sent all the time. You should receive yours soon.

    Hope gives some comfort

  5. Had a great festival really nice to meet up with some fellow efesters too.

So glad that I saw Dennis Bovell - one of the best acts all weekend.

Thought that the line up was really good and very varied - wet weather on Sunday was a bit of a pain but didn't spoil our fun!

Left the site on Monday at 3.45pm (the site was mostly dry by then) nice to see that there were still security on the gates. Also good to see that the area where we were camped was mostly litter free.

Looking forward to WOMAD 2010. :)

  6. Yeah looking at Metcheck the weather seems to be improving for the weekend.

Sunday looks the best day, i need a good Saturday though because ill be leaving on the Sunday!

If someone could answer my question on drum and bass that would be much appreciated, will there be any? and if so, what DJs?

    THANKS!

  7. If you're just one tent you should be fine squeezing at that time. Head higher up, under the wires is the last to go.

Cockmill is probably the nicest field in the north, I'd say. And muddy lane will be pedestrianised this year, makes for nice walk home at night :)

  8. Thanks to the Independant 15% discount offer was swayed to buy tickets for this year - can't see how it can top the fab weather and vibe of last year - that is why I was reluctant to go this year. Fingers crossed that the weather will be good.

Hope that some of the stalls that were missing last year will be back this year especially the Burrow Hill cider people who were greatly missed!

  9. Rhythms Of The World is on this weekend (12th and 13th July) in Hitchin.http://www.rotw.org.uk/Due to the problems with litter and drunken twats in previous years, this year's festival is not being held in the town centre and is not free.  Its being held at Hitchin Priory and is £5 entry.  Also, there is no re-entry, so if you leave the site, you'll have to pay another £5 to get in again.  It may seem harsh, but it is a condition of their license.Tickets can be bought from local shops.  I'm pretty certain you can just pay on the door though (as long as the site isn't full)I am playing with Toque Tambor who will be joining Monobloco on stage at 6:30pm on the Sunday.  There are some youtube clips of us playing last year here...http://youtube.com/watch?v=YMDUv8u88lUhttp://youtube.com/watch?v=8e1jX7J6C0ohttp://youtube.com/watch?v=crgkfmd-wLAhttp://youtube.com/watch?v=1dEK6y-l7n0
