  1. When you get off your coach don't go to a normal entrance for wristbands. Go straight to the Worthy View shuttle bus stop in the same area of the coach park as you are dropped off.

When you get to worthy view they will check you in there and give you the Worthy View specific wristband that works for easy pass out access in and out of the fence

is that WV wristband an additional, or instead of the general festival band?

  2. Stayed in WV in 2013, hill isn't that bad to be honest, we stopped for a little rest and preparation break at the Pennard Hill gate on our way home most mornings, nice view over the site. It's not a lot of fun, but no worse than taking on a few flights of stairs at once.

With regard to atmosphere, it wasn't a wild party, but you could hang out by the bar where there was a bonfire going and you almost always would have people to chat to, and we got to know our tent neighbours, had chats over breakfast and when we got in.

Not sure if they still did last year, but the reception tents did have power and if you asked nicely would plug in a phone for you for a bit.

  3. Is this the quote people are using for the week long Wembley residency?

"When we were asked to come over and play the Invictus Games on Sunday I thought 'we haven't played in the UK in years, and I thought we'd try to play gigs like this pretty much every night we're here until we have to go home. And it gives us a chance to see your faces before we play that week at Wembley Stadium."

If so, that says nothing of the sort, it's Grohl having a bit of a laugh. It's also very unlike the band to be blasé about a week long thing, they were terrified about the last Wembley gig not selling out, and then shocked by the second night, at least according to the interviews with the band for Back and Forth.

I really hope they play, loving the stuff from Sonic Highways so far, but I also didn't mind Wasting Light as much as some people seem to have.

  4. First time at Glasto this year, have always watched on BBC, and thought how fucking ridiculous the flags were. Guess I'll just have to get used to them. Doesn't really happen as much anywhere else does it?

  5. Ah crap. Was hoping that we'd be more like an onsite than offsite campsite. Pedestrian gates in and out will be a pain. But it's worth it for a nice big comfy tent, and not having to lug our own onsite.
