Please..... as I I’m getting in, in the back of a van and I want to adorn my wrist with something that kinda looks like a band to stop myself getting oik’d out.

Decathlon Fresh&Black are game changers. I slept in as long as I wanted in 2017:
This is good news we brought one of these a few weeks ago to appease the rain gods (looks like its working)
having been regular foil heat sheilders for a good few years I've grown to kinda like the noise but I'll see how it goes without it

If my memory serves me Last year the Avalon bar was selling "bottles" of prosecco for 35
My wife has tried the sparkling pinot gridgo cans from Tesco and wasn't so impressed they were "about drinkable when cold"

maybe worth mentioning here that emergency foil blankets (the type they give you after a marathon) either cloths pegged or taped to the outside of your tent can significantly reduce the temperature inside its in the hacks thread but still worth repeating

Imagine the sound the festival will make when a single cloud covers the sun for a moment. Sweet release.
in 07 it was about 7pm when that cloud went passed the sun the site cheered for the first time since 5 am and for a few brief moments there was relief from the oppressive and furious day star
i nearly had a break down at that point so dam hot unrelentingly hot

Let me consult my mate who was much more sober in the queue than I was. I seem to think it was 7-something-am.
Edit: Just rang him. He reckoned Gate B opened not long after 7am.
Gate D was about 7:00 as well in 17 and about 7:30 ish in 16 if i remember rightly

by this time we should be in gate d and trudging along to the campsite hopefully not so drunk as in previous years to try and avoid the mid morning "power blackout"

I did make it there this year for 24hr garage girls and it was a good bit of sunday afternoon fun but sh is definitely my least favourite area the sound bleed was as ever maddening to me it feels like a bit of a corridor flanked by stages rather than a clearly defined coherent space like say block9 or the park
