  1. We're thinking about a week in Greece and going to Sonisphere Athens at the same time. I'm a bit puzzled by the prices though - they have a 'business class' at 100E. I'm wondering what that means and hoping they don't have a golden circle happening.

Anybody know? And if you've been to it, can you tell me more about what its like?

    Thanks

  2. I went to Sonisphere 2 years ago and found it hugely disappointing. Mainly because the main two stages face each other. There's only one of those stages active at a time, so I felt like a ping pong all day going back and forth between stages. If you don't like what's playing at the time, there's little else to do.

  3. I've just noticed the appearance of Family Camping tickets on the Download website. Now this might sound like a dumb question but is it JUST families or is it open to childless people who just want some sleep?

I generally want to be as far away from kids as possible but am thinking this could be a way to make night times quieter, and I'm guessing there's not as many 'little kids' at Download as there would be at something like Glastonbury.

  4. No, you're not too old. I'm 38 and my partner is 49. We've just come back from Glastonbury and we're looking forward to going to Leeds in August too! Some people think they need to behave in a certain way when they're older. They're wrong! :-)

I do draw the line at tolerating the pyromaniac idiots though. We get off site on the last night (stayed at a Travelodge last time). Rioting for the sake of it is very not cool!

  5. I'd be surprised to see Muse back so soon... they've just toured extensively with the Black Holes album and I reckon they'll go to ground for a couple of years. I'd love to see them, but it does seem too soon.

Coldplay? Oh god, I thought/hoped they'd split up.

I missed Radiohead in 2003 to see The Damned in the Avalon tent. It remains my favourite Glastonbury experience and I was really chuffed with my choice. Not bothered about seeing Radiohead but yeah, get the Damned back ;-)

Kylie would be interesting, but I'm not that bothered.

TBH, I don't go to Glastonbury for the headliners. In fact in 2003 (my first year), I didn't see any of them and I had a great time. But I thought the lineup was generally poor in 2007 and it needs to be stronger next time.

In my opinion, a headliner needs to have some back catalogue and 2 albums isn't enough. I don't think the Killers or Artic Monkeys are worthy as headliners for that reason. Supporting slot fine, but they hadnt earned their place headlining.

The perfect headliners are newish band (muse fits), someone who's still current but has been around forever (Kylie) and a dinosaur band that everyone can sing along with (The Police)
