Arcadia use a Funktion-One Ambisonic sound system - one of the advantages of which is that sound can be heavily localised, limiting external impact (obviously there will still be some - but maybe not as much with a conventional setup)

Seems to be happening a lot, queue of epic proportions expected at the box office on Wednesday morning?

you want to ask royal mail, if the postman took the ticket back to the office.they will know as the special delivery's are always scanned / logged when they arrives back in royal mail, if its has been scanned when it came back , the box office at royal mail where you collect your packets / letters from , have misplaced it , not the postman fault but the staff behind the counters fault ,this happens a lot, they are twats at this .and in which case they will find it, its just a matter of when, i work for royal mail. and they take losing special deliverys very serious, they have even seached postmans houses if someboby has lost 1 on his duty.

Thanks, that's sort of comforting, if they can re issue stolen tickets then surely they have to do the same for tickets lost in post (with proof as such)

I know, Glasto are saying under no circumstances can new tickets be issued due to health and safety reasons, risk of overcrowding etc

A friend of mine had his ticket lost by royal mail, he took the special/recorded delivery option but wasn't in when the ticket was delivered. They left one of those slips saying to collect from the post office but when he went to do this they had lost the ticket (the suspicion is the postie took it), we have the confirmation from royal mail that the letter has been lost.
We contacted both See tickets and GLF with this and asked for a new ticket to be sent out. Unfortunately they are saying that they cannot issue a new ticket and will only provide a full refund.
Obviously my friend is pretty gutted about this, he wants to attend the festival not get a refund, and the ticket was lost through no fault of his own (considering he paid for the special delivery option it should protect against this kind of thing, Ok we would get the refund but that's not the same thing).
Has anyone experienced this kind of thing before, is there anything we can do?

Could you expand on this? Do you mean anywhere on the sides on the bowl? Or in the flatter part at the bottom? Or is there another dip on the top?
Maybe better to just avoid the bowl completely and head for the flats elsewhere on the site?
