    thanks for starting this thread!

I did it last year, but haven't got a ticket (yet) so I can't face all the depressing admin (which I enjoyed a lot last year, of course!).

  3. Last year someone set up a thread to track all the changes to the lineup from it being released to the big day. I haven't seen one yet for this year so thought I'd get it going.

I've got a page checker on the lineup page returning what's been removed/added when the lineup changes.

I'll post in here whenever something happens to the lineup.

    Today...

  4. I was there yesterday.

There was a digger in the green and craft fields and a couple guys laying a pipe near one of the hedge rows. Apart from usual farm work, and a half finished new long drop, that's all the extra activity we saw.

  5. This year I took a Bronica GS-1 to Glastonbury which shoots 6x7 film. I've just finished having them developed and scanned. They're on line now at http://gareths.photos

There's also an album on there with my dslr photos from this year, includes this one taken Monday morning at 4am.

If you're viewing the photos on a computer there's some hidden fun surprises. On your keyboard press.. up up down down left right left right B A A A... Or for the initiated, enter the Konami code

    Enjoy x

  6. My mates won two tickets last year in the EE re-create an album cover competition.

The whole thing was quite a rollercoaster... We weren't chosen when the winners were announced, later that day some guy called Terry started kicking off on twitter about the t&c's not being right and that EE owed more people tickets. This got rather heated over a few days till EE offer 4 more people £200 worth of ticketmaster tickets, we were one of the 4 extra people chosen to win. We were disappointed not to win glastonbury tickets but £200 of tickets was pretty sweet!

A couple days pass and Terry still has his knickers in a twist over the t&c's saying that EE owe him glastonbury tickets. Eventually EE buckle under the twitter pressure and give the 4 extra winners a pair of Glastonbury tickets... YAY WE WON TICKETS!! :)

As if the turn of events wasn't crazy enough, a couple days later an artist who creates album covers out of lego noticed something fishy about Terrys competition entry, turns out it was actually one of his lego album photos! shock horror!! Terry had found this guys work online, added the words Calvin Harris to it and claimed it as his own, then whined on twitter and kicked up a pr storm till he got tickets, cheeky bugger.. nice one though Terry as it was because of you that my mates got tickets last year, ta!

This was our entry with the original for comparison. I took the photo while two mates held up a duvet and sheets behind him.. it was a funny night, I've never said the phrase "left buttcheek in and head back" so repeatedly!

  7. If you have the equipment and the talent do it. Who knows you may even be able to sell some of the photos afterwards either to publications, websites or even the general public.

  8. Great photos, convinced me to take my DSLR and 35mm prime (and possibly the 10-20mm wide for some shots from Worthy View). Are all the night time shots hand held? I notice they're mostly at 1/60 shutter speed

  9. Take it, every where you go in Glastonbury is full of incredible photos waiting to be taken!

Last year I kept my kit simple and just took my nikon d90 and a 35mm lens. This year I'm taking the same and also toying with the idea of taking a 50mm lens and some filters, would love to get some really long exposures from up on the hill.

I recommend keeping it on you at all times, or using the lockups. Also a satchel is handy to keep it on while walking around so it's quick to access and put away.

These are my photos from last year https://www.flickr.com/photos/96017628@N03/sets/72157634666920110/

  10. Great photos thanks,

Other than the obvious landmark of the Pyramid stage, I always find it really hard to visualise where site photos are taken when there's no festival activity going on, it all looks so much different to how it looks in June (obviously!)

Its always amazing how natural and beautiful the site looks after the carnage in June. I am always surprised how quickly the site recovers, especially after muddy festivals. Its a great testament to the hard work all the crew put in and the Eavii themselves

  11. Last Wednesday me and my Dad visited the site. We started at Worthy Farm and walked around the circumference of the site clockwise (if looking at the map). We entered the site around Gate D, walking through Bushy Mead and Rivermead, on to the Pyramid then back up to Worthy Farm. There were quite a few people working on site, mainly doing work on the toilets by the looks of it. As there was work going on we chose not to venture further than the Pyramid.

I took some photos of our walk and the site. It was a gloriously sunny day, with the weather being so gray and gloomy today I thought it'd be a good day to get them online and share them https://flic.kr/s/aHsjXA2YSn

  12. I was at the site yesterday and there were no signs of the fence going up.

There were quite a few people on site doing work though. Saw a couple of diggers between pyramid and williams green and some work being done on the toilet areas nearest worthy farm

  13. Welcome :)

    Brilliant photos!

Just out of curiosity, did you take these on a DSLR? I've always wanted to take my DSLR to Glastonbury, I'm an art student that enjoys photography so it's difficult to resist taking my camera with me. If you did, how did you look after the camera while you were there? Did you find it difficult to keep it safe/dry all the time?

My main concerns are not only having it stolen but it also breaking or getting water/mud damaged. I might invest in some insurance if I decide to take it. I'm guessing you made the most of the lock ups?

Edit: I was having trouble getting all the photos to load but I've just seen the one where you take a photo in a mirror. That looks like a DSLR :)
