  1. You will need them. Surely being a Spurs fan, you know the worst is going to happen?! COYS

    Very true!

I'm taking them but hopefully I won't need them. The forecast is looking a bit better today. Rain only Sunday now.

Walking boots for me....served me well last yesr even in the mud....less chance of them being sucked off and less chance of sweaty boot rash anyway even if its raining haha muddy legs i can deal with! Sweaty itchy uncomfy boots? Nope!

Yeah I'm taking my walking boots too. Only time they ever get a run out is at Glastonbury so I'm hoping just to wear them the whole time. Well, until the ground gets cut up on Sunday.

  2. Can't believe they'd let 80,000 people flood onto the other stages like that.

That's a good point actually. I hasn't thought of that. They'll definitely put someone on for that reason alone.

  3. Accuweather scared me a bit as they forecast in inches and were predicting 0.36 inches over Wednesday-sunday with 0.16 inches on friday alone.

problem is I read that as 0.36 inches=36mm and 0.16inches=16mm rain which is an amount that would be noticeable...but its actually 9mm over the whole 5 days which is really nothing and the Friday is only actually 4mm over the day which again is nothing.

    damn my maths!

I think it will be ok. Taking wellies but hopefully I won't need them.

  4. It's light rain showers, the BBC will show rain on their general summary if there's a chance of even a shower at any point throughout the day, don't be concerned

Important thing to remember with BBC is if there is 0.1mm of rain, they will put a rain drop on the forecast - not worth paying attention to this far out.

    44 according to pedmills

Yeah cheers guys. Accuweather saying about 6 mm across the whole of Friday to Sunday so nothing really. Dry the first two days though

  5. Not for Pilton - doesn't show rain until Monday

Yep you're right. No change from their forecast yesterday.

Edit: now they've got it wet on Sunday again. Guessing I reckon!

  6. From NetWeather:

    Monday 22nd June - Sunday 28th June

High pressure will be close to the west and south-west of the British Isles during this week, but this will mean a chilly north to north-westerly flow over the British Isles at times, so temperatures will never be particularly warm for the time of year. The first half of the week will be relatively changeable in northern and eastern Britain, with shallow low pressure systems often tracking between Iceland, Scandinavia and the North Sea, but these are unlikely to produce much rainfall, with cool cloudy conditions and intermittent light rain or scattered showers being the predominant theme. For western and southern Britain, especially the south-west, the proximity of the high pressure should keep the weather mostly dry and sunny, with temperatures close to average for the time of year.

In the second half of the period the high pressure will move closer to the British Isles which will mean mostly dry sunny conditions spreading to the east of the country, and temperatures will rise close to average in the east and rather above in the west. The main exception will be the north and north-west of Scotland, where a strengthening westerly flow on the northern flank of the high pressure will bring cloudier conditions with rain belts spreading from west to east at times.

Temperatures will be 0 to 1C below the 1981-2010 average for most of northern and eastern Scotland and eastern England, but around 1C above in parts of Wales and south-west England, thanks to the SW-NE split caused by the high pressure being sat to the south-west of the British Isles and sometimes covering the south-west of the country. Rainfall totals will be below average almost everywhere, markedly so in western England, Northern Ireland, Wales and south-west Scotland, but may reach near-average totals in north-east Scotland. Sunshine will be well above average in western parts of the country, but close to average in the east.

Sounds perfect to me. If this pans out to be the case then I doubt we could really complain.

  7. I really wonder if they are just gonna fly Dave back to the UK and only do the wembley and Glasto shows...

Not sure lots of flying is going to be good for helping a broken leg heel. He should be sitting with his feet up.

  8. Went to coachella in 2012 and it is excellent. I thought the drinking rules would annoy me but it really didn't. It was so hot any beer I drank didn't have much effect. their drug policies seemed pretty relaxed as well from what I saw.

It's not really comparable to Glastonbury. It's very different.

I really like Glastonbury but coachella is special too. Glastonbury probably shades it 60:40

  9. also, i'm currently dreading who they have in line to headline Other / the rest of the stages. PLEASE be some mediocre landfill indie act and not somebody incredible a-la Portishead

I'm going to be gutted if its the Chems on the Saturday, or even worse, if it's Bjork - i'll be fudged!

I'd of thought it will be the Chemical Brothers on Saturday night. They played the Other Stage Saturday night in 2011. That's where I'll be if it is the case.
