I can see him playing All Your Life and one other. I reckon those hoping for an array of Blur favourites will end up disappointed - unless they like the rest of his stuff, of course.
Yeah, I thing he's gonna put on a great show either way, would love to see Tender live though and it seems pretty likely there'll be a decent collection of Gorillaz hits, De La Soul are at Kendal Calling around the time of the festival so hopefully they'll pop up for Feel Good Inc.
-
Does he play any Blur songs or just solo stuff?
Setlist's seem to be a bit more Gorillaz/solo stuff based atm http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/damon-albarn/2014/the-fader-fort-austin-tx-53c2cb1d.html
However, I imagine he'll bring out a few Blur hits for the latitude set, probably The Universal and Tender

Doolittle
(or Light up Gold)
-
think you got it a bit out:
Haha yeah, chase and status are a pretty huge booking for them, still think i'll be giving it a miss this year...
-
Yeah I think rudimental seem like the kind of act that would play:
Bombay Bicycle Club Disclosure or Rudimental Alt-J
Django Django Jessie Ware Mystery Jets
I'd prefer disclosure over rudimental

I actually wouldn't mind going to that
I quite like it but The 1975 - you me at six and paramore would be the worst three subs in a long time.
I mean comparing that to System, Chase and Status and NIN...
-
18+ unless with adult over 21. God I hate being 17, pretty understandable, but its a shame to miss out on such a fucking top line up
-
Fuck me, that's a good line up
-
Yeah it's a good festival, lovely setting, very friendly, seemed to be a high percentage of post-exam teenagers with luminous face paint but that wasn't a bad thing,
well if the line-ups decent I'll probably be one of them, Latitude line-up hasn't got my mates very excited so we're looking elsewhere... I'll probably stay away from the luminous face paint though (mostly at least...)
-
Line-up announcement on friday, I've heard from a number of people that its a great festival (if slightly commercial).
Possible Headliners: Alt-J, Bombay Bicycle Club, Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Metronomy, Rudimental, Fatboy slim, Friendly Fires, Bastille, Django Django, Katy B, some incarnation of odd future or maybe Frank Ocean?
Would be happy with most of the above (bar rudimental, bugg and bastille)
Anyway thoughts on the festival, predictions, plans etc.
-
Its good to see Foals headlining, great band (one of my faves at r/l last year) hope they pull it off...
-
Death Grips are the kind of act that should be playing 1xtra stage...
Not fucking devlin
Death Grips ---- Chance The Rapper ---- Burial
Those would be the 1xtra headliners in an ideal world
-
-
for my sins these have kinda passed me by
been listening to dead catastrophic waitress today though and theres some lovely songs on it - where should i go next?
-
Bloody hope not...saw them at Truck last year and they were crap!
Saw them at y not and they were amazing (other substances may or may not have influenced/improved their performance though)
-
^^
Would be a dream that. Bought my ticket for their Manchester gig last year but they cancelled
-
modest mouse as headline or sub?
-
the strypes
mumford
muse
jake bugg
asap rocky (not a band but whatever)
bastille
rudimental
birdy
stereophonics
coldplay
keane
snow patrol
razorlight
etc.
-
Never rated it actually. I keep on thinking I must have missed something as it's so highly rated, but every time I go back and give it another go I'm disappointed again.
-
Can think of quite a lot:
loveless
let england shake
antlers - hospice
sky ferreira - night time, my time
most of radiohead (other than Ok Computer which I listen to quite regularly)
bright eyes - I'm wide awake it's morning
the soft bulletin - the flaming lips
the stone roses
bloc party - silent alarm
mystery jets - twenty one
the dark side of the moon
any of tyler's albums and OF mixtapes in general (although I listen to earl/frank often)
bjork - debut
the strokes - angles
pavement - wowee zowee
arctic monkeys - AM
-
next headliner will be revealed on Tuesday
Good news. Any mention of other acts being announced as well?
-
I think it's a lot worse personally. Bastille have a few decent tunes and are pretty harmless. The 1975 are screechy and hurt my ears!
-
wolf alice, parquet courts, foxygen
-
with two door as latitude headliners it seems likely that melvin envisions them stepping up to headline r/l one day... not a great thought but I could see it happening with 2 more commercially and critically successful albums

Will be my first glasto! (provided tickets are bought and none of my a-levels are annoyingly late)
