  1. Still after and LCD ticket for the gf. An absolute calamity from air France today delayed her badly so we couldn't queue for the extra tickets, oh and her baggage is still in France!

So a wee bit of LCD would certainly be welcomed to get things back on track!

  2. I gave away my vip tickets to a mate last year. I emailed Primavera to let them know, they were fine about it.

My mate printed off the email correspondence between myself, Primavera and him. No problems

If you have any concerns about a resold ticket I would email them right away to check. There's a contact form on their website.

  3. Just now, arcade fireman said:

Yeah we plan on having some decent tapas every day when in Barcelona - costs might skyrocket. I've been recommended this place for cheap but good cava and tapas during the day: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g187497-d940427-Reviews-Can_Paixano_La_Xampanyeria-Barcelona_Catalonia.html

I can vouch for this place, it's insanely good. You will be stood and squashed in a tiny bar, you have to shout your orders across the bar to the staff. The menu is small, but tasty, every bit of food is accompanied by a glass of cava. I was in there for an hour last time, ate loads, drank loads, met tons of nice people, the bill was 12 euros. Bought a bottle of the house rose cava to take to the beach afterwards and it was something insane like 2.50 euro. I'll 100% be stopping in again this year.

  4. Your name is printed on the ticket, but the website says to gain entry you need that and either your primavera ticket, or if you have already exchanged the ticket for a wristband that is fine too. Your name almost certainly wont be on the wristband, so I assume offloading the LCD ticket to another full weekend ticket holder should be fine.

It's great that they put on these extra shows, but it would have made more sense to be able to "buy" your LCD ticket for all named weekend ticket holders on your account.

  5. Hi folks, not posted on Efests for ages, but this will be my 4th Primavera (went 2011, 12, and 13) and I have to say the lineup is beyond insane. Thankfully the set times will let me see most of the bands I wanted to, yos.

In the times I've been I have never made it in to the Hidden stage, I would like to get in for Lee Renaldo and Bob Mould this year, is it easy enough to get tickets for this?

Any questions otherwise I can probably help. 2 weeks to go!

  6. There are usually some stalls/shops that sell all sorts of stuff, convenience store type things, I would imagine you could be able to get a couple of bottles of fizzy juice without too much hassle.

  7. I agree with the others, £20 a day should be plenty, that is 2 main meals and then a few quid left for a snack if you need one.

I can't wait to try out some of the food, so much amazing stuff to try! a compulsory Grande Bouffe will be consumed at some stage though!

  8. ok... booked... thanks Rio

I gone for cheap... 12 quid for a bed... come on.. I booked 2.. slide them together... 24 quid for a double... now that's value!

I'd already tried holiday inn... they all booked up... except grenoook (thats how they say it)... but that's a tab far out (man)...

15 minute walk I can do, but I was struggling to find anything at a reasonable price less than a few miles away...

The Bluesky Hostel is straight down bath street.. 1.6 miles... http://goo.gl/maps/jTGlp even I would struggle getting lost!

anyway all done... now just a case of finding things to do in beautiful Glasgow that don't involve me getting arrested and/or beaten up..

    GLASTONBURY HERE I COME!!! \o/

I'll be driving past Glastonbury on my way to the (Bristol) airport!

  9. Sadly this is the one area where this great festival falls short, so much drivel on the line-up whilst missing out on a whole host of happening bands of the moment. Psych or edgy krautrock inspired music is currently where's it at and a big chunk of the line-ups at festivals all across mainland Europe is taken up with bands of that style.. but not at Glastonbury.

For a start Thee Oh Sees should be on the main stage - no doubt about it, they absolutely tear it up live believe me! There is no one around that can match them right now. And there should be a place for Wooden Shjips/Moon Duo, Psychic Ills, White Denim, Peaking Lights, Jacco Gardner and other bands who are not totally pysch but all brilliant like Deerhunter, Parquet Courts, Dirty Beaches, the list goes on... And where the f**k are My Bloody Valentine? Their omission is unforgivable.

Of course none of those bands are British and I think there lies the problem. I get the feeling that much of the programming is done by people at London based agencies who really haven't got a clue what's going on, all desperately signing up so many Coldplay copies in the hope they'll strike gold. Fair enough let 'em get on with it but please don't then foist all those weak limp wannabies on us. So much of the John Peel stage line-up would have the great man turning in his grave..

Still as mentioned we have the Suuns who I saw recently and are great live and Pinkunoizu, Dinosaur Jr and The Black Angels - all excellent. I see one of the original Psych legends is on somewhere - Wayne Kramer of the MC5! And er .. well that's about it. Looks like I'll be checking a lot more circus and comedy this year then..

  10. checked out euro festival hostal unfortunately the only availability they have left is:

    .

............. is tempting though... one bloke.. and 13 wimmin... 1 room... def worth risking 20 quid! probably should bring some roofie with me.. 13 rejections would play havoc with me mojo.. I don't wanna be remembering that!

I considered couch surfing... have a page open now... but have never actually done it before and wasn't sure how people would like some random dude (irrespective of how funtasatic he is) stumbling out of their house at silly o'clock in the morning.

50 quid.. out of town?... the issue then is getting to the coach before public transport (that I know nothing about in that town (or any town don't you know)) has started and not wanting to walk a lengthy distance... not only because I'm lazy but also because I'd get lost which doesn't help... and obviously I have to include taxi fare into consideration with hotel cost.

    but thanks for the suggestions.

  11. I should be pulling in to Britol airport around now to pick up our mate coming from Barcelona, then on to the hotel for the evening. I may be dancing around like mad with excitement!

  12. So far I'm looking at:

    Foals or Disclosure

    Chic

    Rustie

    Saturday

    Jagwar Ma

    Daughter

    Fuck Buttons

    Goat

    Sunday

    Bruce Forsyth

    Vampire Weekend

    James Blake / Nick Cave

    Jackmaster

    Joy Orbison

Friday is my busiest day by far!

  13. I agree, those prices sound good to me, I live in Glasgow and it seems up here we are rapidly catching up on the "London prices".

£3.50-£4 is the going rate here, so if it's around that this year I'll be satisfied.

  14. They ar emy first act on the Friday to catch, 13:30 on the Sonic stage, not seen them play before, so I'm really looking forward to see what they are like live.

  15. I can't believe how many people find it acceptable to whip it out and go for a pee in a busy crowd!

if you need to pee, just go to the nearest toilet, it might mean missing 10-15 mins of your favourite band, but the person next to you won't have to endure the following:

1 - Seeing your horrible manky knob which probably hasn't seen daylight nevermind a shower in several days.

2 - Getting your pee sprayed all over them.

    3 - the smell, bleugh.

Tip. Do a pee before going to watch a band. Simple.
