  1. Well I am not sure either since I havent been to poland in a long time. But the SKM is basically a metro that connects gdynia, sopot and gdansk. one way trips should cost around no more than 1 Pound or so I dont see why you should be buy anything else. I would just get a ticket when you need to take the train. You are probably refering to a card that pays for multiple fares or days. Those Tickets should always be available at any train station. So no worries...Do you camp or are you staying in Gdynia? Btw I am from Berlin...

  2. Well, thats one opinion...here is another: I loved it. People were really nice, there were seperate showers and wc's. never waited longer than 10 minutes to have a free warm shower. The noise from the disco tent was indeed a problem but they took care of that and moved the green camp to the opposite site of the festival area. So the whole experience should be even better...yes you need a wristband to enter and daytime music is ok...

  3. First of all the trains are indeed for free with your Southside ticket, as long as you do not use high speed trains labeled IC or ICE. As you can see below this would be a connection that brings you to Tuttlingen from Stuttgart Airport for free. You have to change trains in Stuttgart main station (Hbf) and from Tuttlingen there will be shuttle busses to the camp site...

  4. The Headliners are great, indeed. but this isnt your usual festival, where you have the chance to see 6,7 bands a day. the way they start so late and have all the gigs overlap gives you only the chance to see like 3 bands properly each night, so it is basically 4 shows with two support acts and a little electronica afterwards. but hey, rest of the time you spend at the beach. not the worst thing to do.

  5. Well, its on an abandoned inner city nazi build airfield. And while it is a great if not stunning location it has had some problems with sound and some stage capacity issues over the years. But other than that its a great weekend in one of the most exciting AND CHEAPEST cities in the world. Obviously there is no camping. Any specific questions, ask ahead...

  6. At this point (all the other afordable Hotels already booked) Hotel Orbis is the obvious choice. I booked a room there, there should be plenty of other festival goers at this hotel. might not look very nice, but I heard it is an ok hotel in a great location...

  7. Well, I went two 3 times in the last 5 years and I have to say this is a great festival if it doesnt rain all weekend. If it does, which it tends to every other year, it can get really muddy and therefore smelly on the festival site and the camping site. In 2011 it was brutal, and that year we didnt even camp but stayed in a hotel nearby. 2012 was fantastic though. We had green camping, which wasnt quiet because ther is a disco tent 500 meters away which is so loud that it blurs over the whole campsite, but it was a really clean camping space with nice people, and hot water showers just for the green camp. longest I waited to take a shower was 10 minutes. it was a really nice way to camp. I am not going this year since I dont like the line up one bit, but If you like the line up there is no real argument against going to southside. and since it is considerably smaller than its sister festival hurricane, it is also a tad bit better organized...

  8. Cheers, Kuki! I havent been to the "tri-cities" since I was a kid, but I do have fond memories of Sopot and Gdansk, so I am really looking forward to this. I dont think taking a cab should be a problem. Shuttle busses are ok, but sometime one needs a little luxury. Are you going too? Do you camp? Where you from? I am from Berlin, living in Leipzig at the moment...

  9. Booked tickets today...We will be taking the train from berlin. We'll go on the 2nd and stay until the 8th of July. I booked a room in the a bit shabby looking Orbis Hotel in Gdynia as there where no other reasonable hotels available at this time. I cant be bothered with camping for 4 days. Anybody knows the Orbis hotel? And how far it is from the site? And what a cab might cost? Questions, questions, questions...As for the festival, this looks all very good, with the bands just playing in the evening, there should be plenty of beach time. Is there a good beach in Gdynia or do we have to go to Sopot? What else is there to do? Any cool bars or clubs, one should check out? Cant wait! Saw Blur in Hyde Park last year and I would do the whole trip just for them, but there should be a lot of other good bands to see....
