To those who went to the Coventry gig, do you know roughly what time it finished?
Trying to work out how I'm getting from Old Trafford to Manchester to Liverpool.
Thanks

Nah, they were pushing ATDI hard as the 'biggest US headliner to date' & Gaslight are bigger. Plus, Gaslight don't have any Euro festival shows announced but Brian Fallon has. Still surprised that Fallon hasn't been announced tbh, thought he was a lock for Trees this year.
They tweeted they'd booked their final headliner well after ATDI were announced, so I wouldnt rule out Gaslight just cause of the 'biggest American band' thing

I’d nut if Alkaline Trio headlined the pit, does anyone know how likely they are?
I'm sure I read that Matt is taking a break from Blink for a bit and he's been writing new material for Trio whilst on tour. Hopefully that means a new record could be out this year and they make their way over here

Is it two now? God help us.
Yeah I think it started off as a standalone date at Brixton and that sold out so they added a second night as well as Manchester Apollo and some other cities. Bleak times

This doesn't seem unreasonable. I think it's way too early to say but they're obviously increasingly popular and they're well thought of enough to have headlined FR this year while still on the upwards trajectory.
Personally I think they're an awful boring band but playing two nights at Brixton on the back of one record would suggest they've got the potential to climb high on the lineup

The Hunna seems the obvious shout to me

Muse, Architects, While She Sleeps and At The Drive-In
I think this qualifies as a successful announcement for me

Presumably we're going to get a few other names as well as the first headliner? Could just be that they are subbing or whatever

Wouldn't say there was much in it really.
Would they be big enough? Twin Atlantic headlined last year and TA are a bigger band, surely?
-
So on the back of the ticket, it states that there is no crowd-surfing and anybody who does so will be made to walk the long way around to the main entrance.
Is this actually enforced? It seems completely unreasonable

Enjoyed this yesterday. The price is pay for what you get, urinals or what they call urinals are quite poor. Its clear to see where expense is spared. The the bar queues take some time sometimes and its very dear for what you are buying.
Camping looks decent though, Forest Sessions and Stage main stage/The Cave viewing is fairly decent. Not used to having that view for a headliner being shorter and taking your own drink in is good.
Not sure why the bar queues were so hefty when you can take your own booze in and walk from the furthest campsite away to mainstage in less than ten minutes, surely people didn't pay almost £5 for a pint!?

would you recommend sharing a locker with mates and using an extension to charge all the phones?
the one ive found is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/130887270553?lpid=122&chn=ps&googleloc=1006595&poi=&campaignid=220881786&device=c&adgroupid=13936810266&rlsatarget=pla-156018257346&adtype=pla&crdt=0
I believe these are prohibited by Lockerhouse... There are two USB ports per locker anyway and you can get an additional wristband for £2, just split it between two of you

So where the fuck are Shikari this year?? Can't believe they've not done R+L on this album campaign
On the bright side, I think they've got a new album coming out next year

Too Low: Wolf Alice (Should be fourth from top), You Me At Six (Should Sub), Marmozets (played that slot last year, with a new album they'll be probably 5th from top), Twin Atlantic (With a new album that does well will be 3rd down or NME Headliner), Sum 41 (Definitely would be above JEW)
Too High: Hinds (Opening Main Stage would even be a push), Neck Deep, BMTH (Would Co-Headline with the right band), Deftones, Architects, Band Of Skulls, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World. Also don't think that Skepta is big enough to headline NME on his own as last year BBK as a group headlined the Dance Tent, he isn't a big enough draw alone, would do the 1Xtra more likely than not, same with Stormzy.Maybe I'm out of touch but I always viewed JEW as a fairly big band, certainly bigger than Sum 41? Put Deftones as a sub as they're subbing download although I guess there's a different demographic

Dont know if youre aware but just in case, you can take your own booze anywhere on site, so there's not much need for forking out for a pint throughout the day
