  1. Your right its not a rangers Celtic arguement because am not ah rangers fan,ah did t mention zombies,ah don't have nothing to do with football in ma user name, maybe you should have a word with the guys about his rant above...priceless

His concerts have previous for attracting people wearing Celtic tops ffs he came on with one himself at Vegas,he got booed and people walked out at Glasgow a few years ago cause he started mumbling about Celtic...that's all am saying

Saying that if you were to stick the prodigy on at the same time as him I would be happy with that.

  2. For the price of it and the distance etc I doubt I'll be back but I had a bloody fantastic time. The whole deodorant at the start needs chucking, no it doesn't, just don't admit you have it and hide it. They weren't searching anyone that had their kit roped to a trolley so I was sniffer dogged and that was that, Straight through no worries.

Didn't try and sneak alcohol in and Magners is okay when cold but I'm not a massive fan of it, the toffee apple brothers went down a treat at the campsite which I have to say was awesome times. Saw one fight the whole weekend, two pass outs but that'll happen anywhere with the heat.

Even bar staff making friendly conversation, loads of crowd talking, meeting and banter and were like only too happy for the english to come and enjoy our big festival. We got no crap at all and met some people that I was as gutted to leave as I was the festival.

Nothing like the scary rumors I heard and the crowds I thought were fine, C&S if you didn't get into it could have been intimidating. The weather majorly helped and the campsite to the arena walk was just fine, I think the open plan Sunset strip into the arena is an awesome idea too.

As I said I'll post an honest review after I've been.

  3. I also don't disagree with it devilman, but some of the tripe spoken by the stewards this year was just lala. I had a little plastic pouch, similar to the one in the premixed cocktails with vodka. No buckie or mad dog for me, no siree. I had it in my waist band, got past theavtual pat down search and through.

Then some other twat ran over from the side to get at it. Must have spotted the neck at the top of the waist band through the t shirt. Now, this is never gonnna sustain me and my wife for a whole day, it was about a wee bit of sumfin different to go with our extortionate pints. Now i had a verbal with said jobsworth and he said, 'licensed premises innit, can t bring drink from outside innit' imagine my surprise when going back to get my wife a hoodie when the same twat allows two guys throuhh with aroubd 12 cans each in their hand. Iasl him and he says 'they're staff but innit' how does that make any sense when you'r previous argument was that of licensed premises..... he then went on to prove the point of no arguing with a stupid person. And the fact it was cans just blows the safety aspect out the water aswell.

  4. Did they have extra litter patrols or something this year? I saw loads of pics of people sat on the grass yet there was green grass all around them. Normally you can't find a place to sit by saturday afternoon because of al the discarded plates and food containers.

  5. Had a brilliant weekend.

Weather, calvin, snoop, proclaimers, jake bugg, bastille, ocs, deacon blue and of courae the killers all nailing it.

Steros were great for the big hits, too much new stuff for me for a festival like that.

Walked away from everything everything... awful. Disappointed to not get into travis after snoop as planned, but that was a horrible decisio. To put them in there as we all predicted. Texas were not as good as i had hoped.

Rihanna, well if the wife hadnt of been there i would have walked after half an hour. The random guitar solos with her off stage that went on for minutes seemex a pointless pain. We foind love pulled it out of the fire for her though and i enjoyed the set after that actually.

Healthy t...tried lotsof different things and wish i could eat thefe every day for the rest of my life. Buffalo burgers yay.

Chase and status i walked past on my way for dinner...as i did last year..as last year i just dont get it. Must be my age. I ALMOST went with the dad comment about "noise". Lol.

Arcadia was good although the wife is normally done in aftet the headliner so no real use to me. We seen lords lof lightning last night and it was great.

The crowd, i didnt think was that bad. Imagine glasgow afternoon at 6 oclock on a sunny saturday. So i'd let them off for it.

    Jobsworth feckin stewards though....wtf..

Kolo, yaya, kolo, yaya, kolo, yaya toure. Was tbis one group i kept crossing paths with or is this a new thing with the kids??

Had some great times with the mates, some i havebt seen for years.

Overall, outstanding fun, 9 ouf of ten and some more sensible placing and a better headliner here and there would have made it a ten.

  6. Well, look at how many bands how just announced gigs or later on that are playing at Download. QOTSA are bigger than all of them, as in subbing, none of them are close. There may of been plans already stopping T have been able to book them. Do you see my point now? All the yarning on about T not booking QOTSA - from a booking angle, it may not have been possible.

Yes they are playing Download and now have uk dates as well, but they are literally the day before and I imagine contractual reasons stop them from doing this. I would guess there is a contract thing that stopped T from booking them due to the fact that within a month before T they'd be announcing their own gig in Glasgow - knowing that Edinburgh gigs are seemingly less and less, there probably wasn't one expected there anyway.

  7. it is a thought, they possibly weren't allowed to do a glasgow hydro gig that went on sale next friday, with people knowing today - only 4 weeks to go until T, it may have got people to just buy day tickets and see the best of what they could that day.

everyone know's it's not good business to book a band for a festival and then a gig in the same place pretty much to go on sale at the same time, it makes perfect sense if so why QOTSA weren't booked.

  8. As mentioned the forum is gone....

The advantage ?? of one meandering thread is that no-one knows where it goes next. I quite enjoyed a few posts on Benni. As soon as there is anything T related to discuss it`s back on track. Just heard on the radio that Mumford are hopeful that it will only be 3 US shows cancelled and that they hope Glastonbury and T are on. I won`t be watching them at either but hope the guy has a quick recovery. Imagine they had to cancel..... doubt they will get another chance, well at Glastonbury anyway.

Is anyone else surprised with the slot Ocean Colour Scene got ? I know they are old hat and have played before but thought they still merited an evening sing a long ( in the sunshine ).

  9. anyone making that prediction would be right eventually. Even the Glasto forums here will go one day.

As for anything else about that, it's idiotic. I want nothing more than forums here to run smoothly and so be able to continue, as that's the most advantageous situation for me. The *only* reason behind my decision is that it's been continually proven over 13 years that the T forums here are not able to run smoothly.

I'm not the only person who has found forums for T in the Park to be unmanageable - T in the Park themselves did.

  10. Now I'm four or five years out of that scene, but what in the hell kind of pills are people taking that they want to hit passing strangers?

    How strange.

As for the forum going, personally, I will miss it, likely come on less. However, I suppose I remember at least one member saying that Neil would do this.

I do think the modding responsibility is a good idea, if it works on football forums, it can work here. The only reservation I would think Neil would have over this would be income stream and maintaining a certain 'editorial' which he may not want to share with mods for whatever reason.

That's not a criticism by the way, I dont know what the guy does for a living (it may even be this solely) hence a need to protect his board and, by extension, his livelihood.

I registered to post here, just to say I'll miss the T forum as I was a longtime lurker, and if Neil did ever want to open it again, he only need ask any of the guys that frequent footy forums how they work as they are much more ripe for aggro.

I'll be going to T next year, despite a couple of fights I seen this year (None of which involved me or any friends I was with), some car thefts, some car robberies, terrible weather, twats that think because they are dirty everyone else needs to be, a lass splashing a girl in a wheelchairwho clearly had ceribral palse (sp?) with mud (fortunately a renegade guy seen this and rolled the lass in the mud), constant pints of mud and piss being thrown and girls squatting to take a dump (between the main stage and the bar - in daylight).

Now I'm not painting a pretty picture there, however the music was great - much better than I expected when looking at the line up, despite one or two horrible clashes as I have quite a diverse musical taste, Fun - We are young, fantastic moment, meeting some brilliant people over the weekend, copious amounts of junk food, some healthy food, good banter on the main, SUNBURN Friday, beers for breakfast and that something else that just can't be explained.

    Peace Out
