If that was the case, and Prodigy were moved to an earlier slot, and Boys Noize afterwards, I could maybe go with that, instead of someone worse coming in. It was a big clash for me anyway. Oh well, fingers crossed for good news.

I suppose the fact that they're maybe taking their time, and trying hard to get a worthy replacement says that they're not going to settle for someone who doesn't merit taking NY's place? Hopefully they pull something amazing out of the bag anyway!

Half a day to go in work now, Dublin tonight, then on to Brussels. Pukkelpop's site is getting ruined today. Hope to hell they hurry up.
-
Editors, Netsky or dEUS and I'd be pretty disappointed. Praying for someone good! Suppose whatever happens, happens. Silver lining is that I can maybe see TEED now, where as before with NY clashing there was no chance.
A half day of work tomorrow and that's me.

Still nothing....feck sake. Must be getting hectic for organisers.
A friend just seen Slayer in Belfast. Said he was disappointed about them pulling out, and they said it was down to poor scheduling.
Semprini, where did you see the pics of the Boiler Room?

Dunno if I'd be too thrilled about about Green Day to be honest. Hopefully they get something sorted soon. Not too optimistic about it though.
Oh well, the travel starts tomorrow!!!!

Tbh bringing someone in I like would cause me problems as TEED in the Castello is one of my top 5 acts for the whole weekend. Pretty sure the only one I would sack him off for is Kraftwerk and don't think that's going to happen now. Completely agree though that it will be amazing whatever happens and I'm totally spoilt for choice nearly all day, every day. Roll on Wednesday!

Yeah, know what you mean. Haven't listened to much of either, but, without being disrespectful, it would be a big drop from NY to either for me. At least we still have The Prodigy to look forward to in the way of a big act on the Friday. There are still loads on the bill across all three days that I'm looking forward to so still going to be amazing regardless. Leaving on Tuesday night, cannot get these next three days in quick enough!!!

Just seen the Facebook post.
'We do not think that replacement will be found before Tuesday.'
That doesn't fill me with hope. I realise its going to be hard for them to find someone, but still going to be really disappointed if they don't. Not Pukkelpop's fault Frank Sampedro broke his hand either though :/

Tickets on sale Monday. Reckon that's maybe an indication that they could have a headliner lined up, or just the need to shift the tickets?

Most recent one I can think of is Bowie cancelling Rock Werchter 2004 merely days in advance cause of his health problems. They brought in 2 Many DJs to close the festival instead. But to be fair, that day had a much stronger undercard with Placebo/Pixies/PJ Harvey, as compared to Eels/Skunk Anansie/Fun.

Hoping they get it sorted soon. Anything like this happened in previous years? Some pretty good acts being thrown around on here anyway, but I'd still love to see Kasabian!! (even though they aren't as big in Belgium)
-
Neil Young is a huge loss. Can't believe it, bad luck I suppose. Not too fussed about the Courteeners, would probably have seen them, but oh well. Hoping the replacement is a big name anyway. Haven't heard anyone mention Kasabian yet, but they're free and would love to see them.
Whoever it is, gonna be a good few days anyway no doubt!

Sweet. Planning to go to Brussels for 2 days, then Antwerp for a day, somewhere random, and then Amsterdam for two days before flying home.
Any tips on whats good or what you would suggest for those cities?
-
Probably getting geared up for Mikal Cronin this time next week! Anyone starting with him next week?
Many of you guys go to Brussels or any other close by cities after PP?

There should be some places around the Markt in Hasselt open until 4am or so, particularly on the Friday and Saturday nights. A lot of Belgian bars list their opening hours simply as "From 11.00" or similar, and will stay open so long as there is someone in there buying (and not misbehaving). If it's quiet (or if he's simply bored and wants to go home) the landlord can shut up shop at any thime.
-
You won't struggle to get a taxi in Hasselt, best bet is to have a drink in a bar and get them to call you one. Lots of bars stay open late as well so you can get one at any time.

Hi All,
Seen above that CuffBlinks had been advised by Semprini to get spirits in Brussels. Do the supermarkets in town sell spirits? And if so are they reasonably priced? Was at Benicassim last year and the 70cl bottles of spirits were 4 Euro. Guessing it won't be as cheap though.
Also, are the trains back to Brussels on the Sunday pretty hectic?
Thanks.

Cheers for the reply!

Hi All,
I have afew questions as its gonna be my first time at Pukkelpop.
Was just wondering what way booze works on the campsite? Everything other than glass bottles allowed in?
What are the drink prices like in supermarkets? Say for a bottle of wine or a bottle of vodka?
Cheers in advance!

Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone could let me know what the camping situation will be like when we arrive at like 2am on Wednesday 11th? Will there be much space left in CampFIB/Campfest? We're driving up so will also need somewhere to park for the night, whats the car parking like in the area around the campsite? Thanks in advance!!
