    Read devilmans post, as always top drawer.....

    Balado is the fourth biggest town in Scotland that weekend, how much crime will there be in the other towns? I do the cans it is a good tip. Get a locker, I posted a link in another thread, lock your money and phones away each night. Do not lock your tent, they will open it using a knife. Don't take anything you will lose sleep over if you lose...

    Tangerine fields is not bad, remember anyone in there has paid over £100 to be there, although thefts will happen there as well will be less common. This is my fourth time at TF, touch wood I've not had an issue.....

    Ive never found it too bad but it can depend on how far away your car is parked.

    Doing a couple of trips is not a bad idea and there's no need to take everything in straight away, leaving stuff in the car and getting it throughout the weekend is the best way.

    Rucksac and camp chair at first then go back for your drinks.

    Just a quick heads up for anyone who is using Tangerine Fields, there was a large number of tents robbed within the field last year and a number of those robberies happened when people were acutally asleep in their tents.

    DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE THE INTERNAL SECURITY POCKET WITHIN THE TENTS TO LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES IN WHILST YOU SLEEP.

    We were robbed Fri night into Sat morning last year and encountered atleast another 5 people who suffered the same fate on the same night whilst they were asleep in their tent.

    There was absolutely no help from the onsite Tangerine Fields staff.

    The TITP welfare team were excellent though and provided facilities to contact banks etc to cancel cards and suchlike.

    Ironic as we used Tangerine Fields for its supposed added security.

    That is terrible man, we got talking to some guys who said they had £400 stolen from their tent

    I cant reiterate to people more about keeping your wallet/phone in your pocket while you sleep thieves have no consideration even if people are in their tent and will happily come in and take a wallet if its lying out

    I am a TITP veteran, Ive been around 15 consecutive years.

    So it is with a heavy heart that I have decided I will not be returning to any future TITPs. My reason for this is simple, my tent was broken into an robbed whilst my mate and I were inside it asleep.

    It is made even worse by the fact we were in the Tangerine Fields which sells itself on having added security.

    We were not alone in having our tent robbed whilst we slept in the Tangerine Field, I heard of several others who suffered the same fate.

    We've all heard the horror stories of people's tents being raided or trashed when they have not been in them but when people's safety is at risk by being robbed like when they are asleep then enough is enough for me.

    No doubt Geoff Ellis couldn't give a flying you know what as long as the money still rolls in.

    When the decent people stop going and it becomes a complete nedfest it will be too late to salvage.

    As others have said, the security getting from campsite into arena was OTT. Full body frisks, even of children, is a joke.

    Enough is enough for me, I doubt I'll ever be back.
