Put it this way, I've never been searched going into the campsite before. And i have seen mallets. The only rules i can think are no glass, gazebos and in Yellow - BBQs. Not sure about the shuttle bus but they seem to arrive at V quite regularly
-
They haven't released it yet. And if you don't have to pay for it then i very much doubt it will have stage times lol
-
Think they only say 12 to spread out the amount of people coming in at one time. It opens about 9/10ish
-
The village is open, Indie disco, roller silent disco, fun fair and films
-
The Rita Ora/Calvin Harris thing is as obvious as the Rihanna/Eminem one the other year. I still can't believe people were surprised when it happened, V had geared the line-up and running order purely so it could happen!
-
They don't check your wristband until you get to the campsite. When you buy parking in advance you get sent a paid sticker to put on your windscreen, if you don't have one they will get you to stop and pay once you enter the car park
-
I've always left on the Sunday. Would recommend leaving before the headliner ends as you could be waiting a few hours to get out of the car park.
-
Its the one with space lol. At 1 its possible there would be space in the big field but at the back (where it's closer to the Arena - just a little fairy light walk through the woods). You normally have to walk through it and then cross a tiny dirt road to get in the second field. Or if the big field is full they will get you to walk the tiny dirt road around the big field to get into the second. Just go to the main Yellow campsite entrance and they will tell you.

You can arrive before midday. Think they only say a later time to stop a big rush in the morning. Think a lot of people get in about 9ish but 10 at the latest they open.
-
Looks like they have paid for Beyonce highlights. If you look at the info on the Saturday highlights they say performances from Beyonce. I would have thought it would have been part of her European exclusive.
-
I brought my car park pass back in August and it cost £5.75 with booking fee. It's gone up a lot in a year!!! (always cheaper buying online though)

Always like to have a laugh and read what they are putting on facebook... then i remember i have to spend a weekend with those people and it starts to become less funny... haha
-
Remember time difference guys. He's not guesting.
I dunnp
-
It still does doesn't it? Well about half 12 or something.
-
I might be wrong but V have never mentioned a colab before the festival in the past - and that includes when Amy Winehouse came on with The Specials. If they are mentioning a colab in advance it would be nothing less from huge just simple because they havn't done it in the past.
-
Was it broadcasted live though on Channel 4? V normally bleep out swear words etc. I was at Hylands when Oasis pulled out, the crowd knew about it before v even announced it on the big screens, goes to show what they're like haha
-
I can't remember that, i remember them pretending to be live at the start of the programme though ha.
-
Still not sure if that twiiter page is anything to do with the fest. But someone has to be really sad to give out so much information if they have nothing to do with it haha. But from the past, V would NEVER give out any stage times early!
-
They never show a 'live' headline set. In the day highlights on Channel 4 (when they have permission from the artist) they usually start the show with the headliner and then finish the show with more from the headliner.
-
As if V care about upsetting people. They're a money making machine, if they mention colab it's prob just ora and harris, as I've already mentioned elsewhere, jay z is performing in USA this Friday night! Time difference plus 8 hour flight, you seriously think he'll be at V? Not a chance in hell
-
It's a million times more spacious than the first field and the further to the back you go the more spacious it gets. Put it this way when people turn up late Friday/early Saturday its the only place left for people to camp in - so its the most spacious you are going to get ha.
-
Tip for any stage - head to the sides, you can get really close without getting squashed.
-
There is usually a thread that pops up around this time for everyone to post the best drink offers from the supermarkets.
So has anyone found any good ones yet?
(I would post this in the other drinks thread but that has "slightly" gone off topic)
-
There is 2 fields in Yellow and i have and always will camp in the second one. As you say the toilets are cleaner and its probably closer to the arena (especially for the Friday). You just have to walk a bit further from the car, but they sometimes make that easier by opening up new walkways.

Nope, as long as you go to the yellow car park.
