Anyone know when the wristband exchange opens please, and is it only at the site? Apols, have looked on the website but can’t find any info.

Last time I went they had a system where your ticket got you in then you went to one of the onsite exchanges at your leisure.

Completely unrelated, I have a spare 3 day ticket going cheap if anyone hasn't bought theirs yet.

Hi everyone, anyone know what else the bars sell other than beer? My partner drinks rosé wine and vodka, but I've heard they don't sell spirits, so will have to smuggle some vodka in if there's no rosé for sale. Cheers

Off the top of my head again, previously the bars weren't great for vodka type stuff as I'm not a beer drinker. I'm pretty sure they had wine but not sure about rose, sorry.

    hi. couple of general questions:

    1. are the searches heavy at the gate?

    2. when does the metro/trams run till?

    3. is it grass or concrete floor?

Off the top of my head, searches were pretty sloppy, may have changed. They seemed most interested in stopping you taking drinks in. Metro runs until 1. Trains to Cascais and Cais do Sodre (city) run all night. Not much grass, it's kind of a dustbowl and concrete/roads.

We are getting down early as we've got See Tickets which previously you had to exchange for wristbands (big queue just for this) then join the back of the normal queue!

Yeah I'm struggling with flights from Manc, we want to go a couple of days early and leave a couple of days late so we have a full day in Lisbon either side of the festival. Are there any other near-ish by airports?

There's Faro and Porto, then train (www.cp.pt), I've done both, Porto is easier IMO, still 3 hours journey. Or Easyjet from Liverpool?

  5. For Peter Hook the ticket booth was on the map but hard to find, there was a load of multicoloured cushions there last year. We'd already exchanged our tickets so walked straight in, plenty of people caught up getting into the site missed out.

Last year for Pastels, Vaselines etc. the booth as just as you walked past the shops and food hall, to your right, just past the Rayban Unplugged stage. Tickets were available at 5pm-ish.

that would be really crazy if they announce another headliner :o

When were The Libertines added as (final day) headliners in 2014? I think it was June!

New Order are a possibility, they play Manchester on 9th July and this hasn't sold out yet so could be hanging fire on that.

Does anyone know the cheapest place for flights? Cheapest I can find at the moment is about £200

Skyscanner? You can tweak the options, depends where you can flying from. You can fly to Faro or Porto and get the train and possibly save.

In fairness, Radiohead are touring for the first time in 4 years and are almost certainly about to drop a new album and are pretty much the best band on the planet (in my humble opinion, of course).

It's a huge draw for Primavera (and it shows in ticket sales).

Does anyone know the capacity of the site? Has it gone up since previous years?

They aren't even the best band from Oxford :) Nos Alive hasn't sold out and is a much cheaper festival/city to visit, so I'm not convinced everyone is going for Radiohead. I think the site grew since I first went in 2011 with the addition of the 2 big stages, I reckon it's reached its limit as there's water on 2 sides and the beach next to the backstage area.

  9. One thing with tickets, the way it works is on day one you queue up, they scan your ticket and let you in. Then at some point you have to get a wristband, at your leisure, to get in on day 2 and 3. However, there may be a seperate queue for See Tickets etc. where you get your physical ticket and then have to join the other queue right at the back. F'ing stupid and annoying then the band you want to see is on, so get down early to avoid that. Hopefully they've fixed that system.

    Yes :)

    Anyone going alone?

Anyone staying in Lisbon until at least the 11th? > I'll probably be alone and It'd be nice to watch the final game of the euro (10 july) with someone!

I was alone in 2014, there was a World Cup zone on Marques do Pombal, big screen, good atmosphere. I'd hope there will be something similar.

  11. The festival site itself is pretty simple, it's a massive stage surrounded my stall then the other stages are tents, like V or Leeds/Reading, it isn't a huge site in festival terms but there is plenty to do/see. Me, I've had enough of walking around Primavera endlessly.

This is getting ridiculous now. I'll be getting my ticket tomorrow!

I don't think it will tbh, never has whilst I've been, Stone Roses, Radiohead and The Cure didn't sell out. Locals will go for one day not three, one day is usually quiet, it is damned expensive for the Portuguese still.

anyone on here been to this by themselves? Any advise?

I went on my own for a day in 2014 as everything I wanted to see was on the last day (Libertines!) and I couldn't make all the days, it was cheap flights, I booked a small gaff in the centre on AirBNB for about £20 a night, bog next to the bed, you wouldn't want to be sharing! It's all pretty safe, I'd happily do it again but got a mate to go this year.

OK. So I just booked a ticket to this.

Best part of Lisbon to stay?

It's hard to answer, anywhere on the trainline to Cascais is good. The trains run but there's no metro at 3am. It's all cheap enough that I don't fancy camping. One year some lads on the flight back had had everything robbed. Everything. They'd had to book a hotel anyway!
