  1. If Paolo Nutini is planning on releasing a third album this year then I wouldn't be surprised to see him maybe third down on the Main Stage. He played an afternoon set on the Main Stage back in 2010 and it was great. He headlined Latitude in 2011 so he'd definitely be given a decent spot on the line up if he was to perform.

I personally can't see Example returning for 2013. He's played V consecutively for three years now and he was below Noel Gallagher who was subbing 2012. It seems if an artist returns the following year then they are either offered a bigger stage or a longer set, higher up on the line up. Example doesn't have the status or credibly to be subbing for another few years I'd say so unless he maybe headlines the 4Music stage, I can't see him returning again!

In terms of headliners, Mumford would be a solid shout, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them sub either. Snow Patrol subbed V in 2012 but headlined T in the Park so it's not unheard of. Coldplay I'd say were unlikely given they'll probably have a break in 2013 considering the mammoth world tour they have recently finished. Rihanna is a possibility, considering how poppy V has become in recent years.

In terms of general acts across the weekend I'd predict; The Lumineers, The Vaccines, Dizzee Rascal, The Script (probably subbing), Chase and Status (either third down on the Main Stage or headlining 4Music) and Lana Del Rey.

  2. every website i am checking Coldplay are still listed as a rumour? Can someone please link me the page where they have been removed. So if Coldplay are definitely out of the line up picture, that leaves us with The Killers and The Stone Roses? Pretty poor. Unless there are two very good head liners on the 4Music stage, V can kiss my sorry ass.

  4. Newton Faulkner released a chain of brand new 2012 shows he will be performing around the UK, here is the link; http://www.ents24.com/web/artist/95508/Newton_Faulkner.html

He has appeared at V in 2007, 2008 and 2010 and with his third album due out within the next few months, what are the chances he will make an appearance at V? Possibly an early afternoon slot on the Main stage?

What do you guys think the likelihood of Newton being on this year's line up?

  5. That is probably more accurate and realistic than mine. I only wish Coldplay and Swedish House Mafia do not perform on the same night and clash. Deadmau5 is a good alternative but I would prefer Swedish. As well as Florence and Example but clashes are inevitable.

  6. My predictions for 2012. Are they accurate / possible? Opinions?

    Main Stage-

    The Stone Roses

    The Kooks / Snow Patrol

    Coldplay

    Florence & The Machine

    4Music Stage-

    Swedish House Mafia

    The Vaccines

    Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

    Example

    Other acts across the weekend:

    Rizzle Kicks

    Foster The People

    Noah and the Whale

    Nero

    Katy B

    Jessie J

  7. In my personal opinion, after reading through numerous rumours and predictions for V 2012, I think the line up will look something similar to the following:

    Main Stage-

    Coldplay

    Florence and the Machine

    Ed Sheeran

    The Stone Roses

    Mumford and Sons

    Paolo Nutini

    4Music Stage-

    Swedish House Mafia

    The Vaccines

    David Guetta / Calvin Harris

    Example

    Also across the weekend:

    Nero

    Rizzle Kicks

    Noah and the Whale

    Foster the People

    Katy B

The Temper Trap (with second album on the way)?
