  1. lol DelBoy I just saw your last message. Yes I talked to you for a wee bit at the start - do you remember when we were trying to find each other there was you, a dude wearing pacman costume and then a couple where the guy was also called Derek? Well I was the girl there wearing the sunglasses and purple rainjacket and Derek's my boyfriend...ring any bells??

  2. If the toilets are the only issue then I bought the "When Nature Calls" wristband this year which is £20 (£30 if you buy it there) and gives you access to the "Posh loos" basically a port-a-cabin set up with proper toilets, mirrors, hot water and hand wash and they clean them after every person has been in and out. At one point I was stopped from going into one of the cubicles by a nice girl who ran away to get a new toilet roll and gave the floor a quick clean because it was covered in mud before I went in! If you're like me and always very skint and can't afford the hospitality or VIP camping then I would def recommend getting on of these wristbands...although if I had the money then I would opt for hospitality!

  3. We saw quite a number of people get taken to the Police holding tent to be strip searched when they were singled out by the dog...but I'll also add that we saw no one get arrested. All the people we saw get pulled to the side ended up getting wristbanded 30 mins later because they didn't actually have anything on them!

  4. I'm in the same boat - I don't start back at uni for another 5 weeks but am completely skint so can't do an awful lot so I'm BORED!!! lol I volunteer for Childline so doing a hell of a lot of extra shifts and gonna hit the gym. Thinking I might do some decorating in my flat too and do a big clear out...you could always repaint your house!!! lol

  5. I did see some security staff walking around the campsites but not very often and there seemed to be security guys patrolling certain areas of the campsite the whole time particularly near the toilets. There were also security staff at all the entrances of each campsite.

When we arrived at the campsites on the Friday all guys were being patted down and girls were getting their bags searched. I don't know if girls were being patted down because it was a guy that was at the head of my queue and he searched my handbag. They were randomly searching people's rucksacks and camping gear and after going through the search area you had to walk past police with sniffer dogs. I have to say it would have been very easy to sneak in a weapon/drugs because the majority of people were getting in without having their rucksacks/camping stuff searched and the sniffer dogs would sniff people and wag their tails but the police didn't seem to be paying much attention to the dogs - I think they were watching for dodgy looking people!

I did feel nervous in the campsite at night because you feel very vulnerable lying in a tent with people having a party around you and there were a couple of dodgy looking guys near us but thankfully nothing happened.

  6. Oh also something else that was really confusing - we had a 3 day camping ticket so arrived on the Friday. On the map we got there were a few campsites outlined that were designated for the Friday campers - Turquoise was one of them and red wasn't. But when we arrived we were told the turquoise campsite wasn't open and we had to camp in either red or blue but then later on we saw people camping in turquoise! Not sure what happened but we wanted to camp in turquoise, thought we could according to the map, but when we arrived we weren't allowed to

  7. Hey Delboy

My only complaint about Creamfields was that I didn't think there were enough signs for the campsites - I reckon they should have put more signs in the actual campsites to let you know where you were! For example the Red campsite had only one big sign that said "Red" but you couldn't really see it in the dark so more of these would have been good because I kept getting lost!

I loved Above and Beyond and the Chemical Brothers so would love to see them again next year, also would like to see Deadmaus

  8. So not only was this my first ever Creamfields it was my first ever festival and I loved every minute of it! We partied at the silent disco on Friday and went on a few of the fairground rides. Saturday we saw Chemical Brothers, Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, and Ferry Corsten. Sunday we saw Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Above and Beyond, Armin Van Buuren and a little bit of David Guetta. The Chemical Brothers by far were my favourite - I've seen them before but this time round was unbelievable because it was outdoors so you got the full effects of the light show.

Can't wait for next year :D

  9. I thought the bungee ball was so expensive which is why I didn't go on.... (lies I was just terrified!) Btw I was part of the wee meet up group at the bungee ball but ended up not talking to you! I was there with my boyfriend and I've got curly brown hair and was wearing a purple/pink rain jacket x

  10. I'm so excited for the 2012 line-up because this year was AMAZING! Although I totally object to buying festival tickets before the line-up is released I hate that so many of the big festivals do that, like T in the Park for example - people have to buy their tickets pretty well a year in advance because it always sells out but they never announce the line-up until much nearer the time so you might end up spending a fortune and only liking a few of the acts. I know there's a good chance I will love the line-up for Creamfields next year but you never know... (rant over!)

  11. Hey tomorrow my boyfriend and I are getting the train from Glasgow to Manchester Picadilly. We thought we would be able to just jump on the shuttle buses that Creamfields are putting on but just had an email to say the bus tickets are sold out. Does anyone know the best way to get to Creamfields from Manchester? I know we can get a train to Warrington - so does anyone know how we could get from Warrington to the site?
