    Still unsure as whether to go this year. Didn't go this summer for the first time since 97 and strangely enough didn't miss it one bit. Thinking of how many smaller festivals I can get to for the price of a week at G.

    I'll still pay the deposit no doubt though just in case. Seemed to work really well last year so I guess if you are on the ball the day tickets go on sale you shouldn't have any problems getting one. Saying that though - I still haven't checked to make sure See actually gave me my cash back...

    for sure it spilled outside! pretty big ring of people right around the tent! gotta say it was one of the best performances i've ever seen in my life, to say album perfect is a massive understatment! i sky+ed it and cant bloody stop watching it!

    well id just like to add that our group went along not one of us really likeing Bruce and only really knowing a couple of his songs... in fact only really went as i cant stand franz ferdinand and we had a really good spot for Kasaiabin so stayed :huh:

    and all i can say is we all thought he was immense only knew 3 of the songs he played but the rest were played with such passion and enthusiasm he had us all converted and cheering :lol:

    this year was my 6th Glasto and it is by far the best headlining slot i have ever seen, everyone where i was stood was loving it

    oh and im no big bruce fan as ive said but even i knew he wasnt going to play born in the usa and why he doesnt play it anymore

    but loved every minute of it :D

    My favourite weather man, Joe Bastardi from Accuweather, is saying there will be a few showers on Thursday & Friday, as long as it's only showers we will all be fine.

    Note, he's only my favourite because of his name, not because of his reliability!

    other than this potentail big down pour on friday night it doesnt look that bad does it?? ;)

    thats the only really rain of any signifigance ... ive still got some optimism :P

    There is hope !!!

    I just want to be able to sit on the grass surely thats not too much to ask,

    i think it only takes one torrential downpour and the place is f**ked, if we can dodge that bulliet on friday, then we may be okay

    I have only been in 2005 & 2007 so mud is always on my mind.

    One good weather memory in 2005 I had just arrived on the Friday morning, done all the walking camping stuff and collapsed with a beer and family on the green grass hill in front of Pyramid stage, sun was out, I think Elbow were playing (??) and I thought I was in heaven.

    Would be great to find some soft dry green grass this year. Think I will.

    also just to keep metchecks random weather generating site in perspective its presently telling me its raining where i am ( 4.1mm) and its doesnt remotley look like its about to rain here :)

    the weather will just do as it pleases!! :)

    Does anyone know the amounts of rain that have fallen in previous years to make the site muddy. How much rain do we need to make it a mudbath because although it rainewd last year it seemed to dry up

    Apparently "GFS 6z now going for a completely dry easterly now,right out to next wednesday"

    Unfortunately i have no understanding of what that means (i'm guessing good) or how likely it is to happen (i'm guessing not likely)

    The weather is really confusing me now i thought i was on for for my best weather yet in 5 years!!... now im not convinced :lol:

    So from when i started going...

    2004 - Good start, fairily hot till friday then a load of rain and teh site turnd into a mess :O probably a 6

    2005 - HUGE amouunt of rain on thursday night turning the site really big mess :) but decent weather after it id say a 5 (only becase the storm turned the site into a mess all week!)

    2007 - Just awful.. rain all week :(:( , 1-2!

    2008 - Best one yet :) , fairly warm but still heavy rain on thursday night/fri morning :( probably a 6.5-7ish?

    2009 - Someone please tell me at the very least its going to be better than all these years! <_<
