  1. Saw Jo Whiley, Coleen and Wayne Rooney, that bloke Alex from the apprentice, the Irish girl who does the news on MTV ( Laura Woods, I think), and my friend thinks she may have seen Keiffer Sutherland, but wasn't 100%.

  2. The truth. GTC have done a great job, the parking is 2 mins from the tent at most. You can bring your own tents if you want, if you have one it is a good idea. The GTC tents are basic but ok, there is a lot of people in the camp already and you may have to put up your own tent. In general the main site is very muddy but the GTC field is fine.

  3. I have the companies house report, the directors address and name and the amended registered company name, which is different from the invoice address.

Interestingly there were 5 directors, 1 resigned on 27.08.10, 3 resigned on 25.10.10, so that leaves James as sole director.

  4. Planning to get there around 3ish on Wednesday so any info posted will be really appreciated! Will pack own tent as contingency, payed for a tent not a pod but good to hear air beds etc being supplied for those that booked the pods! Sound that the gtc are really going some to rectify this so as has been said before a massive Thanks in advance and a few drinks for this last minute rescue, not sounding too bad

  5. The lady said the security falls under Glastonbury every year, not Myhab or GTC, so it will be the same as every other year.

The part you are picking up on in regards to Thursday night is for us late arrivers, there needs to be a rep on site to allocate our tents, this is what I am referring to.

  6. She said they were building tents, I was on such an adrenaline rush that i'm not sure if I imagined the 1500. But she did say the team are down there building the tents.

Crazily enough our parking passes arrived today and we are in Ireland and I know alot of the UK folks haven't got theirs yet.

I have a spare one, but like I say am in Ireland.

In regards to the camper van's, one of the companies Sundrive have not honored their bookings either.

  7. I have just to the lovely lady in GTC. I asked about the bedding situation and they are providing sleeping bags and air beds for those who already prepaid for these, but they are not providing pillows.

She also said the security, showers and toilets will be the same, and that there will be a presence on site 24 hours a day as we are not arriving until the Thursday evening.

I didn't ask about the pampering are, bit silly of me because i'm a girly girl, but I bought gas straighteners before the collapse of Myhab.

I have to say that this is my first Glastonbury and am really looking forward to it, and although its still a bit of a hassle Myhab screwing us, at least we aren't in the same boat as the camper vaners. And a huge thanks has to go out to GTC and Michael Eavis for sorting us out, the lady did say that they were building tents as we speak, and 1500 tents are alot of tents to pitch for Wednesday. I think the tent builders deserve numerous crates of Brothers for their work.

  8. Why are bands who play the pyramid stage seem as such a bad thing? A band who plays in one of the more alternative/new stages this year may be a headline act in 5 years time.

I don't understand why some people seem to find a good or popular tune is something to be scorned.

I like all different kinds of music and hope to have the time to eperience all aspects

  9. Do any of the food places serve Heinz Tomato soup? It's the only thing that heats me up (slight exaggeration), when it's cold/rainy. Now while I am living in hope and being an eternal optamist that we are going to have bone dry ground and sun bursting skies, I would like to be prepared for the alternative.

    Thanks folks.

  10. If you are going to try to get divolfenac (difene), please ask for lopramazol as well so you can protect your stomach.

My husband has 2 slipped disc so we are hoping for dry weather so we can at least sit down. It's our first time at Glastonbury but not out first festival, will point him in the direction of the massage people.

  11. My tips would be,

    1. Instead of decanting spirits into plastic bottles get the Capri Sun with the lids on and pour your spirits into them, 2 for each day should do. They take up less space in your bag and can fit into pockets. You could also freeze them and when they start to melt you will have a nice cool drink. Also a shot glass is similar to a pub measure if you want to pace yourself drink wise. And a hard plastic picnic glass is also very handy.

    2. If its a really wet year put sandwich bags over your socks before you put your boots on, so if your boots do happen to let water in your feet are still dry.

    3. Clip on battery fan, we all know its going to be a scorcher so this will help keep your tent cool at night, of you could even clip it onto the brim of you hat. http://www.iosss.com/shopping/review.asp?prod=2631

    4. Evian face spritz, you can buy it in Boots for a few pounds, keeps you refreshed if you are in a big crowd or there is no water around to splash your face.

    5. Gloves, if the weather is cold/raining your hands get freezing holding onto your drink.
