  1. Haha, of course if your friend looks very young then maybe some kind of proof of age might be required, my hubby is 15 going on 53:p . If you only have to enter the gate once (accompanied of course) it's probably not an issue but we're in campervan fields so I had to get it cleared up or he might not have been able to re-enter the festival without me (that thought made me chuckle :)

Just seen your response, will forward later when I'm on my pc (am on mobile atm)

  2. Don't panic, I must have slipped when clicking the drop down box when I paid the balance and my other half is now a child lol!

I contacted See by email & phone and they said they couldn't change it but that it wouldn't matter as it only relates to accompanied young teens and they would go on the photo & common sense at the gate. The cost is the same.

I do have an email to confirm this which I will take with me just in case.

Still can't believe I did it, blame it on the excitement! !!!

  3. In 2011 there was an officially announced resale on Tues 17th May at 7pm (I know because we got tickets then, and amazingly a campervan pass). The sale lasted about 8 minutes for general tickets and there were some coach packages available which went on for a bit longer. We were very very lucky!

I guess it might depend on how many tickets there are returned as to whether they chose to have an official resale so best follow the advice above just in case.

  4. Not a headline act?? ha ha!! Are you on drugs? (clearly a rhetorical question)!

They are the perfect headline act, and as much as I dislike the pyramid, that would be the one act I'd sit at the front all day for. Seen them on every tour since 1988 and they are flippin superb.

    I die a happy bunny!

    I thank you!

    xx

  5. We bought early birds x2, our friends x2 all at £130. I got x2 tickets for daughter & boyfriend for £150 plus early bird campervan pass (despite having a caravan but I asked on facebook and they said caravans were welcome back when I got them) £70.

I then had various email exchanges and got permission to bring the caravan as it seems the terms & conditions had changed (altho it said no caravans last year which is why I asked!). This is why we were one of the few caravans there and we had to take the pickup to the car park.

We had an excellent weekend and all enjoyed ourselves. The camping seemed pretty full by the friday so I don't know what they would have done had they sold a lot more camping tickets!

My only gripe was the treck from the campervan field coz we're getting on a bit :(

I'm not sure we could go again unless they allow caravans officially, plus we're hoping on Glasto tickets and it's only a week between. Might manage a day though as we're only just over an hour away.

  6. so what is there to do on the thursday evening? is there anything on or just enjoy camp life?

The arena opens at 5pm (approx), there's plenty going on, just not the main music stages. Things happening on the Waterfront Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Theatre Arena, Poetry, Film & Music etc. & plenty of exploring to do. It's listed on the website under Lineup in the drop down menu thingy.

They had gymnasts hanging from giant balloons over the lake last year, was wonderful!

  7. Hi BevFD, I'm going too with 3 others for the weekend but like fairy I only went for the day last year so can't be much help on the camping front.

So that's 6 of us and I know one other efester who is going with a few others! We'll be in the campervan fields but I will also be at Primal Scream (probably!) don't know about the rest of my group.

My daughter's boyfriend camped last year but I doubt he went near the showers :stink:

I'll try and find out about the camping situation and get back but don't hold your breath, he's pretty unobservant and laid back about that sort of thing, lol!

(If your actual name is Bev then hi Bev, I'm a Bev too :hi: )

  8. Tickets arrived, beards purchased and some flowery accessories. Just got to get booze now, though maybe hot chocolate would be more appropriate in the circumstances :coldb: (and I'll be in a caravan!!).

This is of course, if we can get out of a somewhat flooded Essex in two weeks time :girlsigh:

  9. :D Excited!!

Well worth the price of the first Early Bird sale for a whole weekend and very different. Shame about the Ray Davies/Stranglers clash but you can't have everything. Only went for the Eagles day last year and not the years before so a lot of the lineup consists of people I haven't seen before which probably helps.

Kool & The Gang were amazing at Glasto last year, so many people of different ages strutting their funky stuff  I'm sure even the chair-sitting masses will stand up for that one!

  10. Just got tickets for BT (first timer), couldn't resist as I am getting severe festival withdrawal symptoms and need to get away somewhere so I thought, why not. Have heard good things about it. Can't wait. Coming in a caravan but would like to be friendly, can we come to efests camp to say hello??

  11. No idea if this is going to work, but this is one of my favourites, wish I'd been there

failed!! am I supposed to use the "insert media" and copy the whole link or something else?? HELP
