    I'm taking a rubbish payg phone with me due to battery life etc, so no net access. Does anyone know which glasto twitter account is best to get text updates from over the weekend? I don't want to sign up to too many or it'll get too much.

    Just a quick thought. If 3000 people or something. All identical tents?! Better take something to put nearby so don't stumble into the wrong one!

    Unbelievable.

    Thanks to those for ringing. So relieved to hear that there will be showers and 3 man tents!! Hopefully it'll all be ok!

    I think we all owe Michael Eavis one.

    Seems like a lot of people feel how I do, I just don't understand what is happening with this festival, it seems like they WANT it to fail, McFly as a headliner? Whilst I think McFly have a fanbase and they are decent enough, they just aren't a SSW headliner!

    My first year was 2006 and we had Gomez, Elbow and Belle and Sebastian headlining!

    With an amazing undercard.

    Has Lattitude and such effected this festival so much it just can't get the names in anymore?

    If I was booking SSW and they are trying to get a more pop mainstream audience you could get a great live act in like Travis and yes they are great live, and their stock has fallen greatly, im sure they would do it, whack The Feeling underneath and thats a great pop double header who still are credible enough IMO.

    Then even more so take a risk and book Scouting For Girls as headliner, WAY more popular than McFly are these days and im sure they'd do it, to be able to say they headlined a festival, they would get a big crowd in, and the sub for them Id pick Paloma Faith, who is amazing live. Really puts on a great show.

    Then you could have a indie day with some acts with a great back catalogue like Manics, Feeder double bill on main, maybe book Ash as DMH headliner up against Scouting for Girls, and dare I say it get in say Funeral For a Friend to headline DMH up against Travis.

    Just a different choice of acts who wouldn't cost the earth but have the experience and would pull a crowd in.

    Otherwise I can see SSW going under.
