When was the last time they made a booking like Robbie Williams as a headliner/sub?

    2016 - Adele :P

in all honesty though, he could be the sort of absurd headline booking to go up against radiohead on the other, which would suit me just fine.

I can see the arguments and divorces now, how about we go and see robbie?

I'd rather eat my own shite thank you.

Exactly what I thought! no way radiohead will get anywhere near a stones level of crowd.

Yep, point taken, that night was clearly a one off but amazing all the same.

Trouble is though, if they do end up going against some of the guesses on here like major lazer or alt-j. Where do you think the masses or un-decided will go along to?

Just been browsing back through the line-ups of the years we've been to previously, and friday in particular from 3rd down up to headline across most of the stages was a clash-headfuk. If that is anything to go by, then next year could fall the same with a lot of good stuff spread over.

I'd be happy with the xx top of the bill on pyramid saturday instead of this ed shearer rumoring about.

Probably nowhere near big enough these days, their last album was a bit of a flop and they were playing academy size venues off the back of it - which I don't think sold out

Ahh, not at all likely then. Maybe they should try and get some geezer like calvin harris to go up against radiohead. At least then you know it has an opportunity for the young ravers to split up from the chillers on that night.

  4. Personally i hope someone like the xx go up against radiohead on the friday to split the crowd up. They'll need to announce a strong other headliner with a hardcore fan base.

Otherwise it's going to be like the rolling stones where it felt like everyone turned up for it. Even towards the back of the pyramid field where it's usually a bit more spead, for the stones it was like shoulder to shoulder.

Makes no difference to those that mingle closer in to the front anyhow, but i reckon watching radiohead from further back, chillin and just soaking up the great tunes is what we'll be doing

Are bloc party back on the scene again? Could a great group like that go up against them?

  5. I'm thinking that if you just block out that they sing 'if we all join hands we'll make a wall' then it is actually a decent tune.

all the musketeer business going on in the rest of it does no harm.

  6. Currently watching the semi finals of the eurovision contest, no idea why?

But that song just on from the nation of Georgia was way more catchier :0

  7. Looking at the poster it could be something like this, or it could be nothing at all like this, i dunno.

    FRI

    Pyramid Headline - Foo Fighters

    Pyramid Sub - Florence

    Other Headline - Hot Chip

    Other Sub - The Vaccines

West Holts Headline - Mark Ronson

    John Peel Headline - Suede

    Park Stage Headline - Spiritualized

    SAT

    Pyramid Headline - Kanye West

Pyramid Sub - Mary J Blige

(Reckon Pharrell more likely to be daytime to keep families happy)

    Other Headline - TBC

    Other Sub - Deadmau5

West Holts Headline - Lianne La Havas

    John Peel Headline - Alt-J

    Park Stage Headline - Caribou

    SUN

Pyramid Headline - Special Guests (insert some ego type artist here that want to be announced last or have to due to tour sales, festival sales, album sales etc...) OR Blur if special guests don't come to an agreement with the festival :P

    Pyramid Sub - TBC

Other Headline - The Chemical Brothers

    Other Sub - Ben Howard

West Holts Headline - Patti Smith

John Peel Headline - The Maccabees

Park Stage Headline - Ryan Adams

Accoustic Tent Headline - The Waterboys

  8. Giving the Pyramid a miss this year apart from the obvious one. Reckon I'll have to see these 3 a day and the rest of the line-up will all blend in somehow.

Fri - Half Moon Run, Tame Impala, Foals

Sat - Swim Deep, Rollin Stones, The Other Tribe

Sun - I am Kloot, Beans on Toast, Natty

  9. Small stage and voice truly amazing? Here's one for you, finish off the festival by watching Natty in the Gully on Sunday night. Not actually sure how that stage is going to be size wise, but if you into a west indies sound then he's ya rasta!
